I've been a bit of a rambling man, I left college the first time to work in law enforcement. I left LE shortly after 9/11 as I felt that my duty lay elsewhere and I could always return to LE. I joined the Army as....wait for it.....Cavalry Scout ;). After a few short years I was injured and medically retired which put returning to LE off the table. Now I'm a social worker looking for my first job.

I am currently a senior majoring in Civil Engineering, sooooooo ready to graduate. Hoping to become a licensed Structural Engineer soon after graduation, maybe even grab my masters degree while I am at it. As for right now, I make money in the family business, working for my father in the construction industry. I always believed hard work truly means something and makes you feel good at the end of the day, but definitely not physically! On a side note, very new to Busse knives, still waiting on my first. (TGLB, black with orange scales) And already hope to snag up an ASH-1 and a Boss Jack in the coming months, and a Gladius one day probably long down the road! All in black with orange scales of course. By the way, thank you for your service sir! Greatly appreciated.

I've been all over the place too. I was medically retired as well, moved up to the mountains after a short return to pest control, got in a life changing accident shortly after, started having seizures and now I spend most of my day sleeping from the seizure medication. I enjoy my knives and I enjoy rehabbing my shoulders chopping wood. As far as work, I get most of what I need from the VA. My social worker there wants me to apply for social security too, but I already feel like a big enough drain on society...

I work part time at the restaurant/post office/bar/barbershop/security station up here. My license was suspended for the seizures and if I push myself to stay awake through the drowsiness spells the medication causes I'm a wreck for days. My GI bill is going to run out in four years if I don't start using it. Maybe online classes..

I am a biology major/psychology minor at Oregon State University. I am a walk-on to Willamette Law after that.

My current job title is "Patent Author" at Willamette Valley Intellectual Property Law, a firm that my Patent Attorney and I created.

I also race road bikes semi-professionally, which eats up more time than my IP job.

Due to the nature of my job(s), I am also able to carry a job as a manager at a grocery store, and that money is purely for "fun" such as knives, guns, and vacations.

I really have no idea what I am going to do with my spare time when I don't have three jobs and a full load of credits.

to all of you vet's please email me and I will send you 3 pages of discounts you get for being a vet. I was in the army and I got out and got stabbed 6 times. once I learn how to walk again I became a commercial Electrician. I am disable because of the stabbing so I can not work. it finally got to me after all of these years. too many visit to the hospital. oh well thank someone up there for the VA because they are helping me with my health problems. ginrickie1@juno.com

I'm a proud member of local 27 ironworkers going on 7 years. Work isn't always fun and I put in way to may hours but I couldn't ask for a better bunch of guys to work with and it pays my bills

Wow Cav Scout.......sounds familiar

I was in College and got bored....grades started dropping so I started Law Enforcement in a small town. Felt like I should do more and signed up for Army in August 2001 ( too fat to go to basic at the time) shed a few pounds and went to basic January 2002 as a Cav Scout. Did 3 years 9 months and got hit by roadside bomb and finally Medically Retired. Sat around with odd jobs, surgeries, and went back to college till I start at my current Police job so college took a pause till recently. I just registered back to finish my degree.

Also father of 2 great kids and assistant coach of my son's tee ball team. Love my job more than I can believe!

I am slowly growing tired of my job, and I am considering letting go of Denmark and head to the US and try a new way of life there.
So who knows, mayby I'll come bother you guys within the next couple of years.

What do I do for a living? Try to survive :D As of right now, I'm a full time college student finishing my bachelors in religion online. To pay for rent, I work around a farm which entails clearing creek banks, helping with almost every aspect of tobacco growing (planting has begun), and other tasks. To make some pocket money, I try to work full time and that entails clearing back trails, planting flowers, weed eating and mowing (a farm and subdivision), clearing downed trees, sweeping, mopping, filling bird feeders, cleaning a pond, spraying fence lines to do weed control, clean vehicles, clean sidewalks, paint fences, help repair fences, pick up trash on around 3 miles on a stretch of road (both sides), and what ever else needs done.

As for prior jobs, I've been a courthouse security guard, worked a high end gun shop, worked a large knife shop, subway, retail clothing store, custodial work and probably some others I'm forgetting.

Forum sociology statistics! I am a physician assistant...but wanna be professional fisherman :foot:

To My fellow VETS.......Thank you for your contributions of service. I did my time for Uncle Sams Misguided Children (USMC OOH RAAH) during a little Southeast Asian Advisory Action. Returned after 3 tours to complete my education and cut my teeth engineering on the Alaska Pipeline. I have been fortunate and thankful to work for many years putting people into Space on recently retired Orbiters. I enjoy cool evening breezes, walking on the beach and poking dead things with a stick!!! However I want JDJ69's Job if there is an opening???
