I am the general manager for a waterjet and CNC machine shop and also the laboratory manager for a material research / thermal physics lab.
The waterjet shop is basic job shop but we do some pretty interesting stuff.
In the research lab we design and test hardware for thermal management (primarily through the use of high thermal conductivity composites). Fun stuff usually.
