I was wondering what everyone carries on their Key RIng? Which are your favorite and why?

SAK (model), Micra, Utilikey, photon ll (color) ect.? Whats the best choices?

I am looking for something small, light and compact with good utility

Imagine...Keys (lol), a photon microlight in red so as not to screw up night vision to horribly, and a small titanium screwdriver/prytool. Knives are in the pocket and/or waistband and/or boot.

SAK Spartan and White Photon II.

On my non-key keyring, I carry a Victorinox classic and a Photon II microlight. To answer the inevitable question, I travel a lot and my keys go in my briefcase when I'm traveling (by air). So, if I have another keyring, I still have my SAK and light.

More information than you wanted, but hey, maybe an idea.

The microlight is turquoise, bright and useful at night.

About a year or so ago, I put an ASP key defender on my keychain. This is a kubotan-shaped pepper spray device. I started carrying my keys by sticking the defender into my waistband instead of carrying them in my pocket, and as time passed, I added more and more stuff to the keychain.

Right now, there are two rings attached to the key defender. One has keys, car alarm clicker, and a white Photon II. The second ring has a fabric extender with a liquid-filled compass on it, and to that is attached a Leatherman Micra, an SAK Mini-Champ II, a UKE 2AAA flashlight, a Swiss Army watch, and a Spyderco Dragonfly (with the pocket clip sawn off).

Well, you asked...

A tiny SAK and two Photons, blue (for contrast) and white to see colors.
That's keyring #1 (house keys & so on)
An red Spydie Ladybug and a turqoise Photon on keyring #2 (carkeys, etc...)
Happy sharpening

- small SAK (scissors, tweezers, etc.)
- Sebertech M4 minitool (was a Leatherman Micra- but I like the pliers)
- Microlight (Green- longest battery life)
- "P47" Can opener (may come off soon- eats holes in pockets)

A red Photon II, and a Benchmade mini-Mel Pardue #330, with the carbon fiber scales removed. It lies nice and flat with the keys like that, and is big enough to be useful for cutting thicker objects, like sandwiches and fruit.

Well, now that I think of it, I carry a few things grouped by splitrings.

1. My real keyring: keys, tiny SAK (a Classic, I believe), and Pelican MiniMityLite.

2. Another splitring holds a Princeton Tec Blast, and red and white Photon II's.

3. Yet another splitring holds a Suunto Comet (a pocket compass/thermometer combo) and a Mini Fox40 whistle.

Any more splitrings and I'll start losing track of it all. Hell, I'm already losing track.

I used to carry my Victorinox Craftsman with Photon II's attached, but I got tired of having the Photons rattling and swinging around every time I used my SAK.

Spyderco Baby Goddard--I like it because it's a little classier than the ladybug, not to mention the plain-edge section (though it's value is questionable on such a short blade). The micarta scales look pretty rough after a couple years of riding with the keys and pocket change, but it's held up great other than that.

key-key ring: SAK Recruit (kinda big for this, really), Mec-Gar rear sight adjustment tool, P-38 can opener, and keys.

non-key ring: aluminum kubotan and blue Photon II

I carry a older Cold Steel(made in Japan) SAN MAi Mini Tanto (1.5" blade, 4" aol). Takes a shaving edge, cuts open boxes with ease and cuts through cardboard and punctures car doors and tires(of A**H@!*s who pull in to your space as you're trying to parallel park).

Of equal importance a Titanium bottle opener, gone through too many aluminum ones.

When traveling I'll add a Solitaire Maglite(1-AAA Batt).

Besides keys, a PILL FOB (for my anti-knife buying pills - BTW: They don't work worth SH!!), and an ASP Sapphire light to find the pills when I spill them. Not very exciting, no deadly spy stuff or anything exciting.

ASP defender, keys, Micra, and a Photon II Turquoise light. I really like the defender. I put it in my waistband when I am out of the car. I works out perfect.

Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepards the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children, and I will stike down upon the with great vengance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers, and you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengance upon the.
