What do you carry on your KEY RING?

Well, I guess you'll be seeing my sorry attempt at a review in three weeks or so.

I just added my very first Photon (red) to the ranks of my keychain as well. This thing rocks.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

Surprised that no one but me has a Spyderco Solo on his keyring. Got it as a gift several years ago, and never have seen the need for anything larger on the ring (of course the BM Brend folder is in the other pocket, for more strenuous chores.

The sword cannot cut itself, the eye cannot see itself.

Well, I finally decided to buy the Micra and I like it. However as I thought might be the case, it feels too heavy in my pocket. So I am looking into getting a SAK to take it's place.

Anyone have any suggestions.

Been lurking too long, and just had to finally sign up and spill the beans on my key ring. I am not sure if this is a boast or a confession... (Here goes anonymity)

Main ring with belt loop clip:
work and house keys (20 total)
Swisstech Screwzall

Car ring that clips on or off main:
car keys (4)
yellow photon

Pen ring clipped on or off main with:
Short wooden pen from The Pen Lady (the pen IS mightier...)
green photon. (hard to write in the dark otherwise)

Blade ring clipped on or off main with:
Leatherman Micra and
a cheap half serrated 2" lockback.

Misc. tool ring with clip and:
white photon
nail clippers (nails and small wires)
can opener
whistle
Sebertech M2 with pliers and drivers (well, it was on that ring until I found it lying on the car seat the other day. Still not sure how it got off.)

Clip style "pocket" watch alternates between ring and belt loops. (Hmm… I just noticed that it lost 3 hours today. Time for new battery? Or new watch?)

I clipped on a CS Ready Edge 'til I left it poking bare ended out of the car upholstery once...... Got exciting... Disappointed with sheath lock.

Sort of a modular approach. Individual rings, especially blade and pen, get detached and hung various places, but always come home to roost.

Interested in upgrading the knife, but pretty pleased so far. ( A 3 dollar blade on a $100 wad of tools and toys.) It is a 3 finger size handle and is actually too short for me to handle comfortably except for its own keyring. My pinky finger through the ring gives me plenty of grip for one handed opening thanks to the thumb stud, and the pinky through the keyring gives great control while cutting, opening things, stripping wire, sharpening pencils, cutting cables, (ok, I really abuse it on occasion) etc....(No Chang, the cable was not plugged in. Learned that lesson 20 years ago when I turned my wire cutters into wire strippers…)

What's next? Have toyed with the idea of adding some of the following, but it is pretty ridiculous (and somewhat noisy) already. Of course the can opener is the only item I have not actually needed and been very glad to have at the time. (and 3 or 4 of the keys.)
Matches case
Lighter
Ferocerium rod
Mfs
Small tape measure or ruler
Pill Fob
Saw blade
vice grips
crescent wrench
video games
OK, getting silly here

Damn tree that was pretty impressive. Welcome to the forums you'll fit in VERY well here. Oh yeah Sebertech M2 has been added to my keychain.

I carry a small ring on a leather fob, the ring has my car key, house key, and two keys to our summer camp. There is also a Swiss Tech mini plier and a Utilikey.

The rest of my keys are on a separate ring that stays in my car.

The Utilikey does not get a lot of use, however it has a surprisingly good edge, the screw drivers are quite good, and very small, and the bottle opener is a real life saver when you are 20 miles from town and discover that the beer bottles aren't twist off after all.

Tree!!!

WOW!!!

You forgot to mention the anti-gravity unit that has to be in there somewhere! If all else fails 75 or 80 10 inch helium balloons attached to your main ring should help a little!

Rats. You win, hands down. No contest. Pardon me while I go off and sulk for awhile. What's the cure for keyring envy? GRIN.

), ... a black mini-carabiner ( for attaching to my belt loop ), ... and a brass key shaped single blade knife made in Soligen, Germany.

Edited: Oh yeah, almost forgot ... a mini company flashlight.

It's not on my keyring, but I always carry a Puma Steelmaster II Mini (AUS-8) in my pocket. It's also a cigar cutter and is equiped with a clip.
