What do you envision doing with the Junglas?

I have a goal of doing some volunteer work (trail maintenance) on my local section of North Country Trail in the spring. I think the junglas would be great for attacking trail overgrowth and deadfall (not too big of course, that is what I have a Stihl for.) I also have a section of woods in my backyard that needs some clearing. What do you plan to do with yours?

Why not just get a inexpensive machete? I mean if that's the sole purpose of purchasing the knife....don't you think that might be a bit overkill? Not to mention it will be more heavy. Though if you don't mind spending the extra penny or carrying the weight I'm sure it would work great.

Boring.

That sounds like a great way to put it to work:thumbup:

i dont know the junglas sounds like a zombie killer! it would probably be a great batoning knife.

wow mrs s that is intense! but how are you gonna cut my fingers off when your in Texas? :D

Guess you haven't been around long enough to know just how awesome I am. ;)

The mr wants one of these BAD! He played with one everday at the show. I'm not really sure wth he'll use it for but I'm sure he'll find something.

Very nice. Where's local? I hike the Alleghany portion of the NCT and love it. I need to get out and cover more of it some day. Jiggy: a short ten inch blade is just better suited to north east woods than a full machete, at least I feel so anyways.

I'm going to use mne to do the same thing I try to do every night.... Try to take over the world!!!

Im going to practice my (Kali) cutting angles with it. Hopefully I won't accidentily lop off my leg or opposite hand

The Junglas is exactly what I've been looking for: A big blade, bordering on short sword length, that isn't too thick (here is where most fail) and has a comfortable handle (never seen this before) and a kydex sheath.

It will replace (& hopefully improve upon) the RTAK II as a dependable survival blade as well as satisfy everyone's inner Rambo. ;)

Mine may be the most boring, I want one just to leave in my truck if and when anything pops up that needs a swinging.

I live in Western PA, about 2 miles from ohio line (beaver county), approx. 3 miles from the NC trail.
