What do you envision doing with the Junglas?

It will satisfy my desire to chop and baton with. Two of the things I love to do with my blades.

I live in Western PA, about 2 miles from ohio line (beaver county), approx. 3 miles from the NC trail.

Very nice, that's likely to be the next section I hike. Checkout the signpost in the background :) Portion of the NCT in southern WNY (allegany state park). Don't know how the rest of the trail is, but there are fairly decent (and some not so decent) leanto's built along the way.

Chopping. Chopping. More chopping. I honestly have no practical application for this blade that couldn't also be easily accomplished by a cheap machete, BUT sometimes i want to carry a smaller tool into the bush and between the 12" Collins and the Junglas, I'd rather have the impact speed and weight of the Junglas in my swing. My RTAKII, which is my current favorite chopper, fits just as well in my pack as my 12" Collins. This is for days when I want the tools inside the pack as apposed to strapped to the outside. I actually find my RTAKII much more efficient at chopping and doing work than my 12" Collins. Plus it looks way more badass.

iam just going to fondle it!!!!. actually along with my izula, and rc4 it should cover
just about anything i want to do. iam still buying a H.E.S.T. for my B.O.B.

The mr wants one of these BAD! He played with one everday at the show. I'm not really sure wth he'll use it for but I'm sure he'll find something.

I dont think it really needs to be used for anything other than a work of art in steel to hold & admire... then a couple hours after it arrives it could be used to chop the largest tree you think it could handle, and then after catching your breath, shaking the cramp out of your hand, you can think of the endless possibilities :D

Well first i'm gonna give her a relaxing full body oil rub down. ;) Then we'll build a cabin up in the mountains, where we could spend the rest of our days together in peace. Without being judged.

I have exactly zero ideas of what I am going to use it for.... none. Like I posted up in the orginal thread, I am going to get one simply because I know that if I ever DO find a use for it (such as Mrs Shotty sending me a free lighter to go over to Cali and cut Gundude's fingers off) that it won't let me down :)

I just want the handle for the old machete I have (it must be around 60 years old, my father gave it to me, and he had it from his father).

cutting small brush and vines and grasses and burs that get in my way and i cant walk through, light chopping on my craftwork, felling small trees, opening fruits and nuts, limbing small branches, splitting logs and begining the split for my wedges..

Guess you haven't been around long enough to know just how awesome I am. ;)

Good enough for me. I'm getting at least one.

Of course, with my chopper addiction, that was probably already a foregone conclusion.;)

Uses? As many as there are hours in the day -- yardwork, wood cutting, limbing, brush clearing, camp chores (easier with the shorter R.A.T.'s, of course), even cooking! As long as it's not too heavy, a longer knife is a joy.

I plan to slash, chop, and stick it clean through juniper trees.

:D

And compare it to my new Bushwacker.

I'm up for fondling it like a giddy schoolboy and dreaming of slaying zombies, werewolves, communists, etc.

I'm looking for something to replace my machetes. Love them but they don't stay sharp long on hard dry wood like the kind that makes good fires =)
