What do you guys not like about the Ti-Lock

I have a Blue Steam...looks great, works well for what I use a knife for outside the kitchen and is in the rotation of my users. I got it used for a great price. For a user, the new price would be my only detraction.

Think they look cool. Love the blade shape. Love how big of a knife it is in a smallish package.

Didn't like the way it opened and closed. Hated the pocket clip. It snagged on things as it seemed to always protrude outward. Didn't like the brass (or whatever they are made of) pieces look as it tarnished.

In the end I moved back to 21s and 25s and Umnums then only to 21s.

Can you guys post some close up pics of the Ti-Lock? I can't really tell what kind of finish is on the handle.

Sure- Here are some macro shots of the handle finish on a Regular and Elemental. As others note, it's stonewash almost exactly the same as the blade finish.

Wow that looks nice. Has enough polish to be classy but still has that stonewash so you aren't afraid to use it.

I didn't like the pocket clip so ordered a replacement CRK clip and put it on. Like it much better. Kinda wish the lock bar wasn't blue. I like the gray of the elemental. Wish it didn't have the decorative cutouts but was a solid handle. Why do I keep it? Great blade shape and size for EDC. It's light. And the lock is unique and kinda cool.

I just picked one up on the exchange brand new in box for 400. I am excited to handle it.

I could have probably found one for less but this price was decent enough.

Congrats!

Let us know how you like it..Great little knife that is often overlooked because of the lock. It's not difficult to use..just a little different.

I wonder if you can send it in and ask for that silver lock slab?

I wouldn't do it now, but in the future it might be a nice option.

Great, just great! Another knife I have to buy and try. Never should have started on this post. Just kidding. Have been looking at these for a bit. Just many others to also buy.

So, just talked to CRK and they will not replace a blue lock bar on the Ti-Lock with a gray. Color stays the same as the original....dang.

I would imagine a blade swap would likely work on these - doesn't seem to be anything that would be specific to fit to preclude it. Just guessing of course.

Personally never owned one or handled one. They look cool and I'm very interested in the size. Seems like it's in the middle of the Small 21 and Large 21, I could be wrong. Like others have stated the price is what gets me. Too expensive New. If I could get one used for the right price I would do it.

Be patient. I've seen several in the $300s here over the past 6 months or so.

It's a great knife!
