What do you guys not like about the Ti-Lock

Ive always loved mine. I think the blue lockbar looks great and i also love the "gills" on the side. The pocket clip LOOKS awesome, but it really kind of sucks as far as being user friendly and its also a little jagged and awkward in the hand. I see some people putting on Sebby clips. I need to do that.

Def try it. My ti-lock clip is currently on my small box elder and my stone finished sebbie clip is on my ti lock.

I'm a jeans guys everyday, so that works best for me.

Just did this mod with some 320 grit sandpaper. It isn't perfect but looks decent enough.

I think I am going to do the same to my Large Sebenza 21 with Carbon Fiber Inlays.

Any advice on how to get it looking better?

That looks pretty good.

Basically, I lightly brushed mine with sandpaper then did the stone washing technique listed on the forum. It worked good for me, but I definitely used more washers and smaller pebbles on the ti-lock clip.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The design does not match at all my tastes and I won't get one. Looks too steampunk.

I'm with you. Looks too fussy for my tastes. For me the aesthetic appeal of CRK is all about the blocky, minimalist, no-nonsense design. There's just too much going on there!

I love it entirely. Its been more reliable and required less maintanance than any sebenza I have owned. Zero blade play and solid lock up all along the way. And the lock bar has worn to a nice silver purple haze. Love it!

While it took me a number of years to finally pull the trigger due to the looks, I'm quite pleased with it, overall. I think it's a better size for me than either full size or small Sebenzas. It also has better ergos than a Small Sebenza, yet nearly as much cutting edge as a full size Sebenza. I also appreciate the fully ambidextrous lock.

Owning a Ti-Lock means you're part of a secret society within the community of CRK fans[emoji41]

After couple of days of use, I notice some grittyness on opening. I think it is from the lockbar pin riding on the titanium. Anyone experience this? After I clean it off it seems fine. Does it wear in ?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've been carrying mine every day for about 8 months now without any noticeable grittiness. Sometimes, I'll notice a bit of pocket lint or some material get in around where the "dumbbell" seats, but it's not much of an issue. Mine has been taken apart once since I bought it, but washed fairly regularly, as needed.

I found just the opposite- it seems smoother after a little time. The track the dumbbell rides on looks somewhat polished. I do rotate the dumbbell occasionally and open & close with two hands (not using a thumb to push or pull the dumbbell). Reports by other users (BellaBlades) show the bearings are reasonably protected so there should be nothing in there after a couple of days.

Is there any grit contamination in the environment it's exposed to?

Just lint in my pocket. After I clean the dumbbell track it seems fine. The dumbless get a bit black so I assume there is just some wear or breaking in going on. I figure this is normal since it was basically new in box.

Mine gets a lot of use, and I have never had this issue. You ever break it down and completely clean it?
