What do you knife guys use your knives for?

These days, I don't cut much so I carry it for the sake of carrying it so that if I do need something to cut, I'll have it on me. But yea, knives get used to cut any variety of things. Last thing I cut open was a stubborn .22 ammo box. It was plastic and wouldn't open, so I went to work on it with my DDR.
 
Man seeing your knife cut down that tree makes me regret big time getting the BK-2 cause I thought it was capable of doing such things. Well it can but I bet you could do it much faster. Wanta trade :D Now mods I am just kidding :eek:

Man I just looked up the specks on my BK-2 and it weighs in a one pound. And the specs on the BK-9 say 1.05 pounds. Yours must be more the thickness of a machette. But mine is still to short. The knife that is.

The trail is used by hunters, hikers, horse people and snow mobilers. Don't want any fast movers busting their heads on it.

Since I carry my knife almost everyday, I feel empty without it.

I mainly use it at work for:

Cutting cardboard
Tape
Packaging
Food
Kill people
etc...

The usual stuff. Just kidding!
 
At first I just kind of collected, but then I started carrying one at work (construction). I liked having one in my pocket and it just made opening everything easier. Now everyone knows I carry one so I am in charge of opening whatever they hand to me.
 
well, I am not going to rant about all the utility tasks that a knife can be used for.. but I will say that last night I was watching the news and local areas/cities/neighborhoods are having more and more random violence and crimes.. kidnappings, killings and rapes in surrounding areas and I believe the state of our economy/country is the reason.. I am not afraid to admit that the country is heading in a scary direction and that people are desperate and willing to do terrible things so I carry a blade at all times for defense reasons.

Each night I watch the news I see more and more outrageous and ridiculous stories which would have seemed like a joke or punchline a few years ago, but it is a reality now.

you decide if you should carry a blade and one that can be used in a defensive situation and not just a pretty traditional letter opener.

but for me, there is no IF right now.

Well, my BK9 is a better chopper than my BK2 but the BK2 does a weirdly good job at it as well. Just hold by the back swell on the handle and it chops like a little frigger.

You need one of each - and a necker of some sort. :D
