I just found out through the wonders of modern technology (in the form of cookies the wife forgot to erase) that I am definitely getting:

CS trail hawk
Ontario Rat-7 combo D2
Leatherman Charge TTi

those are the only things I know of so far, but DAMN!!! That woman knows how to shop.

I'd like to get a son for Xmas, but this is the next best stuff.

I was hinting to my fiance that a Boker Congress Carver from A.G. Russel would be nice:D

I'm getting the Koster Bushcraft knife. I know because it's a Christmas present to myself hehe.

Just pulled the trigger on a knifekits Typhoon too so add that as an early Christmas present to myself to tide things over till I get the Koster.

A lump of coal. :(

You need it right now in Canada! My dad is working up there on some project outside of Edmunton that is going to pull out oil from the sand or dirt, supposed to be some new stuff. He says it's about 5 below up there all the time.

As for Christmas, a new tent and a gift card for bass pro shop! :D

I already got my present. It was a 42" LCD TV.

Its no knife, but I'm not complaining.

climber tree stand for bow hunting, various fleece odds and ends, and... some steel that the wife doesn't know about. Merry christmas to me.

Hey that's cheating! We got ourselves a mutual gift this year, a new digital camera!

A new Peavey bass guitar.

Even though it won't be here by Christmas, I'm calling the Koster Nessmuk I ordered my Christmas present to myself.

OH! and I'm getting a trip to Medieval Times with my wife/sisters/sister's spouses. Hark! Reveal thy self lest I impale thee with my firesteel edged show sword. Those things really throw some sparks! It's pretty bad when I lean over during the show and whisper to my wife "Ya know, with some of that hay and one of those show swords I could light a mean fire."

I was confused as to why Edmonton was so unseasonably warm until I remembered the whole imperial-metric conversion thing. -5F sounds about right for this time of year but I'm sure your father is going to find there are days in January and February that make him wish it was -5F all the time. It can get down past -40 before even taking wind chill into consideration. Edmonton is farther north than any other good-sized Canadian city... most Canadians aren't nearly crazy enough to live there ;)

At least shopping for a Christmas present for him should be easy... It might be time to lose the Stetson in favour of a nice warm toque!

Cold Steel Norse hawk.for shure.Maybe....maybe a spyderco sharpmaker.
Oh yeah,I lived in Edmonton for 3 years.Get him a down filled parka and a bottle of whiskey.BTW the coldest I've personally felt was -54'C.Metric or standard that's freeking cold.

Which Medieval Times are you guys going to? The wife and I are trying our best to take a night off and get over to the Discoery Mills location here in GA. I've heard mixed reviews, but I'm VERY easily entertained so I'm sure I'll have a good time.

Oh yes, I forgot the conversion. It IS -5 F. He was also told, which he then told me, that at -40 degrees the celcius and farenheit cross and are actually the same temperature. Is that true too?

And yes, no more stetsons, just a big warm high-tech ski type mask which covers everything but the eyes, just don't tell him :D.

Schaumburg, IL. I've been there 4 times. I love it. I'm a sucker for swords and all that.
