Hey amateur knife maker here wonder what you guys listen while working on your knives. For me it depends on what I'm doing, if I'm doing any grinding or sanding I prefer different Rock or Metal music. But when I'm doing delicate work I prefer something softer. As of right now I'm playing a lot of Green Day, Disturbed and Garth Brooks. However my style changes, and in a few days I'll be jamming to something new. So what do you guys listen to?

Funny... It sounds like you have very eclectic tastes in music like I do! I listen to country, rock, classic rock, hard rock, alternative, bluegrass, etc. I listen to a little bit of everything! Lately I've been rocking to Chris Stapleton's new album. I'll put it on and let it repeat over and over again. It is a little strange for me to find an album that I like every single song on the album, but this one is one of those rare times. Check it out. It's a little country, a little southern rock and a little bluesy.

Good googly mooglie!

Joe Rogan Podcast, Fighter and the Kid and Spotify

I usually listen to speed or power metal while working, don't really have a favorite band because I enjoy a lot of power and speed metal bands. But a quick Google search and a list of songs will help you find some you like.

Though I do enjoy rock and metal every now and then I have to slip in a few Hank Williams songs to tone things down

Pandora - Of Monsters and Men, Banks, Alina Baraz, Lana Del Rey, Marian Hill, John Mayer, Florence and the machine

I like switching it up but normally I listen to radio and Pandora for music. I also listen to a lot of podcasts like Stuff You Should Know, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, Radio Lab, and cooking shows like Splendid Table and America's Test Kitchen. :D

Jeff Beck, Slow Hand, eastern flute music, Freddy Mercury & Queen when I need energy.

We have a sound system in the shop, helps to make those long days fly by.

Sleep, High on Fire, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Danzig, old Misfits.... Too much man. lol.

But then I'll throw in some Marty Robbins. I'm all over the place.

I listen to Rainbow (Ronnie James Dio era), Soundgarden, and most anything considered 90's Alternative

classic and modern rock. i have an old marantz receiver and 1960's acoustic research speakers in the shop ;)

I tune the Sirius radio to the Deep Tracks station.

I just put my iTunes on shuffle. In each artist's/band's folder there are many albums. This is just the stuff I have organized. There is more.

Since I make knives to relax, I listen to mellow music while working in the shop. It changes a bit but normally some reggae or country. When grinding I'll throw some punk in the mix. It's always Pandora, Bluetooth connected to an old sound bar I had on one of my TV's.
Pandora stations: slightly stoopid, George strait, face to face, etc...
I like the mix of music Pandora plays.

If I'm doing hand work, layout, shop clean up, or something that will still allow me to hear anything, I'll generally have a podcast of somekind on.

If I'm doing something a little louder or a little more focused, I'll have some kind of Pandora Music station on in the background, usually some country/bluegrass, or some kind of christian/worship music.

OR, sometimes I'll just listen to the news, or put on a youtube vid of a sermon or a lecture, usually from Chuck Missler or similar, where it's mostly talking.

Plus 2 for good googly googly Joe Rogan.
I also like Dan carlins hardcore history and the survival podcast by Jack Spirko. Music I listen to Hank Williams Jr. Waylon Willy Johnny Cash, David Allen Coe, George Jones. I also like bluegrass and when I'm really in the mood I'll put on some AcDc or Metalica.
