What do you prefer, Millie or pm2?

I now own both of these knives and appreciate them both. I like the lock, action, and ergos of the pm2, but I love the size of the military! The two knives sit side by side on my counter and each morning I grab one before I leave the house. I am finding that 9 times out of 10 I reach for the Military. There are some characteristics of the paramilitary that I wish the Millie had, like the deeper and more comfortable choil and 4-way clip, but be that as it may I find myself using and carrying the military much more than the pm2. I guess I just find it a more functional size for my uses. How about you guys?

I just got a military in the mail last night and it kicked my PM2 out of the pocket today. At first I thought it was going to be too big but I am really enjoying it.

For me its like asking which child is the fav so if I gotta choose, the first one :D MILITARY!!!!
eta-as much as I like the idea of a tip up military, it just wouldnt be the same. I love the tip down action of a military(best tip down knife ever). Once you get use to it it suchs a fast comfty blade. Best of all, CUTS great

I'll put it this way. I've owned both and still have 3 Millies in my pack.

Yeah, I'm fine carrying tip down but I would still like a 4-way clip. I don't really care which way the tip is facing but I like my lanyard hole facing up. I miss that with the Millie.

Military all the way.
I really have not used my PM2 for a good while.
To top it off I just got a Cruwear Millie to keep my lefty company.

Sold all my militaries and now only have the para 2. I was slow to like the compression lock but now it's fine. I think I like the pm2 better is because I carry a money clip in the same pocket and that's a good fit. Empty pocket, why not carry the military.

I've never owned either, but i got to check them both out. I prefer the Para-Military 2. The Military is just little too big for my liking. But they're both great knives :)

Personally, I've always been a Para I or II fan over the Military. That said it wasn't until about four years after using a Para I that I finally handled a Millie... It's an impressive knife with one of the best liner locks out there. Unfortunately for me, the 4" blade always felt too big. For me 3.25-3.5" blades are much more manageable for most of my cutting tasks so I always defer to a Para.

I won't deny that the Millie feels like a light saber in hand...

Lance, have you tried looping the lanyard through the pocket clip so it's facing up?

I really enjoy both models, but I've been a Military model enthusiast since 1996!

I love both, but prefer the PM2 just for the compression lock. I really wish they made a Military model with the comp lock, that would definitely be tops in my book!

The Military is my top pick on all my knives.

Same here. Bought one and sold it without using a while ago thinking the handle was too big and awkward and I wanted tip up carry only.
After getting a cruwear military and actually using it I don't see anything kicking it out of my pocket other than blade length limitations. Best fit for my hand that I've tried.

I own a Para and have handled the Millie, and have also compared them side by side. I like both equally, honestly. :o

The Military used to be in my edc rotation before the pm2 was available. I never thought anything about the size and when I used it around other people, they didn t seem concerned about it. When the pm2 arrived, I thought it was the knife with perfect ergonomics for me and fit my hand and my tasks extremely well. I thought the compression lock is a great combination of strength and ease of use. However, when my cruwear Military arrived today, I remembered how much I used to like the Military and the reasons that I carried it so much several years ago. Light and big with a fine tip so it s great for large and small cutting jobs. I m looking forward to carrying the new mili. But my favorite knife of all is still the pm2.

I bought a Paramilitary 2 about a year ago. I liked it, but it couldn't break into the starting rotation.

I bought a Military about three weeks ago and I cannot quit carrying it.

I got the Cruwear version yesterday. I am smitten.

PM2. I don't like liner locks and really like the compression lock. The Military handle is just too much and you only get another half inch of blade. I have some great Militaries but they have never made it into the pocket. I only need enough handle to fit my hand, not a bunch of extra hanging out, and I have large hands (size 11 gloves-so not huge).

I even have the M4 frame lock millie and the stouter lock isn't enough to carry it over my 20CP PM2.

I have a New Millie coming, should be here next week sometime. I hope I like it as much as I think I will!
