What do you prefer, Millie or pm2?

I love both, but tend to carry the a PM2 more often than a Millie myself. At least part of that has to do with the tip down only carry. But part of it certainly has to do with all the sheeple that I work around. I have a couple of clients who wouldn't bat an eye if I came in with Excalibur strapped to my hip, and those are the places that I carry the larger folders, and on the weekends. But I have some clients who really are knife phobic, and I won't even carry a PM2 to their offices.

Plus, on a purely personal side, the PM2 is just plain more fun to play with. Both of the Millies that I have are a lot harder on the thumb to flick than the PM2's. and I'm sorta addicted to doing the 'Compression lock flick'.

Hey Lance, your opinion of the millie certainly has changed since you got it in the mail. For a while you were trying to trade it.

PM2, if they update the Military with a compression lock I'll be purchasing a couple for sure. It's not that I dislike the liner lock, I just believe locks like the compression, ball bearing, axis etc. are superior and less likely to release when you don't want them to, but they can all fail. The military is a little bigger than I like, and if I do carry a folder with a blade that big I'd probably want it to be thicker/heavier than the military is.

Yup. That tends to happen to me when I make judgements about spydercos before carrying and using them. :o. One day I'll learn.

Never had a PM2, too small. Prefer the Military due to it's size. Handle is great in my big hands.

Millie. If they'd drop the choil from the PM2, that would probably be enough to swing me in its direction

I like the PM2 and might prefer it to the Military but I have just gotten a Military and have not had a chance to carry it very much.

I like the PM2 (from time to time I even carry my Para1) but I simply love the Millie for ergonomics, the more subtle choil and the reach the longer blade gives you; I also tend to rank the liner lock found on the Millie as my preferred locking system

I haven't had enough time with my recently acquired Paramilitary 2 but I do love my Military.

I like them both but right now im carrying M390 blue PM2 but im thinking of carrying a S90V blue military at the same time eventually.

Never had a mili, but love the PM2 in S90V or M390. Love the size, compression lock, handle material and steel, and all important fit and feel. We waited a long time to get the PM and I liked but did not love the first version (PM1), but the second (PM2) has stopped me from looking for alternatives.

I prefer the size of the pm2, so its weird that I like the military better.

I just love the unique thwack the military's liner lock makes as it locks into position.

If Spyderco ever releases a 3.25 or 3 inch version of the military my wallet would be in serious trouble!

Military!

Love that big comfy handle, the simplicity of the liner lock and best of all four inches of full flat ground goodness!

Had the PM and often wondered if it was worth upgrading to PM2. I guess I'll treat myself :)

I can officially say I have been converted. After carrying the millie I bought off of the exchange a little while ago I bought a titanium military that is still in the mail and tonight I just came home from work and found a fluted titanium one in stock and just impulse bought that one too. Now I am considering getting the blue s90v one and doing a blade swap. I

I now own both of these knives and appreciate them both. I like the lock, action, and ergos of the pm2, but I love the size of the military! The two knives sit side by side on my counter and each morning I grab one before I leave the house. I am finding that 9 times out of 10 I reach for the Military. There are some characteristics of the paramilitary that I wish the Millie had, like the deeper and more comfortable choil and 4-way clip, but be that as it may I find myself using and carrying the military much more than the pm2. I guess I just find it a more functional size for my uses. How about you guys?

i have always had a few Millies. i loved the ti military most. but the clip drives me nuts. i just picked up my 1st pm2 last week after having a few millie for over 2 years.

i find myself needing nothing more than the pm2 offers. its more fun to flip around too. i like the lock and its easier for me to close with the gloves i commenly wear also. i like the 4 way clip too. i will certainly be getting the second generation military when it is made

Hard choice. I guess it depends on where I'm going. When I go to the laundromat, I carry my Millie. There's some sketchy people there lol.
