I think I should've phrased it differently. I meant splinting material. the fascinating capacity of a blade does not come that with sound with dimensions aesthetic... if not you would be satisfied with sculptures modern based on steel... Some knives I use, some I collect. Some I don't know why the heck I bought them.
But I have this fascination with them all. There is something atavistic about knives that reaches back to when the first cave man reached for a rock and found it had a sharp edge...
