What do you think about BRADLY CUTLERY?

They are owned by Benchmade or Benchmade makes the knives or something like that.

They are as nice or better than a Sebenza but cost about $100 less.

I have had two Bradley's and, in my opinion, it's NOT as nice as either of my Sebenzas. I have handled them both side by side, I prefer the Sebenza. That being said, I gave both of the Bradley's to my brother and he loves them. He's just an average Joe and he wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a Bradley and a Sebenza. But again, it's just my opinion. And you know what they say about opinions, they are like..............

Do you own a Sebenza? Have you handled a Sebenza?

Do you own a Bradley? Have you handled a Bradley?

..:jerkit:

By god it's had a blue thumbstud, that PROOVES it's just as good as a sebenza!

***edited out jerk-it icon***

I've handled both and the Sebenza is way way over rated.

Also you obviously don't know about NOT using the "jerkit" emoticon anywhere outside of Whine and Cheese!!!!

ive had bolth-still have the bradley alias 2-
sold the sebi to help finance a custom-
and i like the bradley blade design better-
no its no sebenza-2/3rds of the way to a sebenza for half the price

Bradley (made by BM) isn't bad. They stepped on their peters, so to speak, by using the word Sebenza in their initial ad campaign. By all accounts they're not bad knives though. Personally in a higher end, Ti-handled, S30V bladed knives, I prefer the Buck/Mayo 172. Its nice, sturdy, and has its own style which isn't at all confused with the Sebenza. I actually like the 172 better than the Sebenza.

I'd ask you one question in terms of what your knife habits are: How often do you flip your knives? If you don't flip them that often, then the Bradley might not be that bad. The 172 is a little better in re-sale I think, if only because it doesn't have all the sebenza baggage. If you flip your knives more often, you'll get more of your initial investment out of a sebenza. The skies won't open, and angels won't sing from on high when you open the box, but the sebenza really is an all right knife. CRK service is certainly easier to deal with than BM, and that's the truth!

-Oh, before anyone asks, yes I've had a Sebenza- 3 of them actually.

The Bradley may be 2/3rds of the way to a Sebenza, but the last third is what makes a Sebenza what it is.

The Bradley is two thirds of the way there because it uses the same materials and lock. The Bradley does not have the tolerances or the fit and finish of the Sebenza.

I don't think it has the same fit and finish either. The Bradley is also not that much cheaper than a Sebenza. Both of my Sebenza's were right at 200.00 on the second hand market, neither had been used.

pivot bushing is the biggest thing-
i still say the blade shape is better-at least for me-

I'm not a huge fan of the Alias. Not for any major reason, it just didn't fit me overall. I did pickup one of their balisongs and have no complaints in the quality dept.

I like the Bradley Alias but if I'm going to pony up the kind of money they want for it, I'd just pay a little more for the Sebenza. I might get one if it had an Axis lock and cost about $50 less, or just get a 630 Skirmish.
