I have to say I like the brown delrin knives from case. They are all apart of there working series. I started with a peanut I got for Christmas from my kids. The fit and finish is excellent. The as ground blades are great looking and shaped better than the polished blades n my other cases. The other day I was in the local gun shop and I Saw a #082 stockman in brown. I looked it over and again a knife done really well. And the price was good on it. It's been in my pocket for a few days know and I must say it has been a great knife. So I wanted to know what you all think. Show your pics and share your thoughts.

It personally bugs me when I see synthetics pretending to be something they're not. Jigged bone, stag, etc. To me it seems cheap, tacky. Like fake wood trim and pleather seats in a car. I don't mind delrin, just make it smooth or sawcut textured or the like.

If Case started doing sawcut brown delrin I'd be all over those.
I think that would look and feel great on a peanut.

I have a brown delrin slimline Trapper. I think it's a good knife for the price. Gets screaming sharp with just a Norton Fine India. I use it quite a bit. The as ground finishes are well done.

I agree 100%. A sawcut brown peanut would be great.

My as ground blades are great and you're correct, they definitely do get crazy sharp. Mine hold an edge well also.

This is EXACTLY how I feel. I’ve had a few Case brown delrin jigged knives and while the knives have been great I just hated the handles and you all know I’m rather fond of delrin!
Now to go edit my post in Traditional knife turn-off thread...

This little pen is the only one I have in Brown Delrin. I prefer the as ground over the polished ss.

I understand what you're saying. I like it best on the peanut because it makes it look like a peanut shell. The others I would prefer sawcut. For some reason I think the fit and finish is better on my two brown ones when compared to my other case knives and that is what I like best about them. With that said I don't have a huge case collection yet.

I have to agree about the peanut looking like a peanut with those scales. I will now have to accept it on those knives !;)

For me, as mostly just a collector of such dodads, it just adds another variation to the mix.
I guess they really make sense as a working man's knife. The brushed blade does not look as bad when it gets scratched up as the polished SS, and it still being stainless, helps keep corrosion at bay. The Delrin is a big plus as a worker's knife, imo, since it can get some unintentional whacks, and not wind up broken or chipped as actual bone would likely suffer.
Besides that, so much Case now being very "blingy" (even in most of the CV versions), that the basic look is a nice departure... Again, imo.

I am very partial to my peanut because my kids gave it to me for Christmas. They were so excited to present it to me and that makes it extra special. My little boy makes a point to ask me often if it is in my pocket. Of course it is and always will be.
