Just want to see what you guys use in your backyard in different parts of the states or in other countries. I personally use a Ontario 18 in machete I live in Hawaii I use it for work in my yard and yard work for other peoples houses. So I just want to see your guys terrain and what you use to controll it. And this is only in your backyard and not hiking Or camping

I live in town but still use a knife in my tiny, vine filled yard. I generally use a Buck 110 or 119.

Last weekend a knife like this by Ray Kirk (ABS MS) was used to cut ivy vines that have invaded my back yard and fence.
For those who have not tried the steel. Forged 52100 makes for a great knife in my experience.

I've used a shovel, Fiskar's shears, and various knives.

Bastid, that looks like a comfy fixed blade.

I've been carrying my ESEE 6 in my backyard lately (my own little 20 acre slice of heaven). Just big enough to chop, and still small enough to do fine cutting tasks, also carries nicely.

Living in the boreal forest I use a chainsaw allot, but for hand tools I use the machete to control tag alders, small growth and branches. Its great for clearing trails.

Anything from gas station knives to a Tractor.

Funny, how knives with the worse reviews get used for jobs with the most abuse and come out smiling.

Gus, Hire some help. :D

Becker BK9 with a lanyard so I don't hack off a body part. Chops, cuts, even some light prying.

A push reel mower, because it has six blaes on it. I have been thinking of sending the reel over the RichardJ for some sharppening.

I also have a 14" machete (actually it's a condor golok) and a small Mora, that I use for some of the heavier stuff.

trims down all the lemons and oranges you could ever want. Plus I just rent a room out of the place so I dont really take care of any of the yards lol

I use a Gardener and his crew.

In the past, I have used my BRKT golok as well as a Thai e-nep to cut back about 20' of Bougainvillea that was growing out of control at my parents place. You need something big to take-down heavy vines with 2" thorns.

No Yard Work But When I Have To Gather Firewood And Was Exploring Nature With The Kiddies I Use My ZT 0301.
