What Do You Use Your Punch For?

I use the one on my SAK quite a bit, as others made mention, a solid scraper is useful when you don't need to be so careful about the edge, also scribing lines and when I cut some pieces of sand paper, I'll use that to rough cut through it, also on the package tape that has fiberglass threads inside it, they are very tough on delicate edges! but the awl just powers through, not the neatest of cuts, but it gets through. I've never used to punch a hole in leather, I use a leather punch for those chores ;) just neater.

For those of you who smoke a pipe, it makes a pretty good bowl scraper. I also use mine to open boxes, so I keep that pesky tape glue off of my main blade.

Aye, indeed it does. A small coping blade or a worn out knife with a rounded sheepsfoot makes an excellent pipe cleaning tool.

I didn't realize how handy a punch was until I bought an SAK Pioneer. I took it camping for a week as my only knife and I was amazed at how much I used it. If you look at that Pioneer today, all of the blades look brand new, but the punch is well used!

Holes in Leather , Cleaning out clogged tubes and such. Scoring lines on wood, starting screws and such, also great for cleaning your nails.
