What Do You Want To See?

I think there is a market for a 12"-13" Bolo/Parang in 3/16" steel.

I have been kicking around the idea using 5160 steel. (really economical) with a quick and dirty convex edge. No full height grinds on this one.

Something like a machete on steroids if you will. The 3/16" and bolo design would make it weight forward and IMO a great outdoors knife.

I might have to send some of my drawings and get a price on this from you if you would be willing to work 5160.

I would like a Pikal-style self defense knife.

I always liked the RAT-3 design for this but would want one with a reversed blade for Pikal-grip work. Here is my rendition...

Here are a couple more knives that have shapes that I think would be great in a JK interpretation

I also think a 5-6 inch blade on a Hudson Bay would be dynamite. (like the middle knife on one of Pitt's drawings)

I do like the Hudson Bay pattern! I ground out a slim straight back hunter and small tanto this morning before I went out applying for jobs again. Will probably heat treat them this weekend.

John have you thought of placing an ad in Back woodsman magazine for your knives ?

Sharp Eye, we think alike. Some of my past posts have been about the hudson bay style. I am with ya! Good call.
