What do you wish to see Buck make in 2017???

May be a bridge too far but a nice wood handled ax would be nice also.
I almost asked for this but thought a good general purpose hatchet with metal haft and wood slabs of 5160 steel was asking for too much.
So, I'll go with you. DM

I would like a Sabre grind Bushcraft knife. 3/16 or even 1/4 thick. Uncoated blade, canvas micarta handle with a quality leather sheath. With an overall length of 12 inches. this would attract a worldwide booming market. I love the collectable as well just would lIke a good user. One thats not afraid to work or get dirty..

Small medium and large versions.

^^ This ^^ Although I would like to see this done in the 100 series with hidden tang.

My pick... An Ecolte reboot. Brass liners. Thinner handle (13mm). Large birds eye pivot. Long nail nick.

I like the Bantam series knives, but hate the cheap plastic used for the handles.I would love to see a G-10 version, even if it was just a LE.

This is actually a pretty good description of the Bridgeport scout hatchet, now discontinued but available (in both scout and non-scout-branded versions) on the auction site. (Bridgeport also had a "hardware hatchet" with a built-in prybar, but that may be more oriented toward loading docks than you need.)

Here's mine in the nonscout version:

1. Upgrade the Open Season blades so they actually have a traditional lanyard hole where they are suppose to be. I love the look of these but hate how you have to remove scales to get in there.
2. Something almost identical to the Vantage Series but with a lock back.
3. More pocket folders in blue scales (like the C&C Spitfire).

i would really like to see their 300 series made with stiffer back springs since this seems to be a major complaint that i read over and over again. Are you listening the powers that be at Buck

Selkirk with a slightly longer handle made in the USA. More fixed blades with full flat grinds.

Yes! I'd love to see something like that.

AreBee, yes much like that. Which is also similar to the Estwing hatchet. Both are U.S. made hatchets. These are much more general duty than the game quartering hatchets Buck has manufactured. DM

Would also like to see more traditional folders made in the US by them, canoe pattern comes to mind first for me.

A 620 XL
With a 1-1.5 " longer blade a a little more belly.
Flat saber grind please.
Frame lock Vantage.
Fixed blade Vantage. Neck knife maybe?

More nickel silver instead of pure brass bolsters.
Would be nice to see some blades with actual fine honed double edges.
Removable Modular handle scales system with different colors and contoured grips.
And how about some hollow handles as storage compartments?!

Ok, I'll give my 2 cents. I'd like to see Buck do a limited run of their 334 Trapper. Same blade shapes, grind and size of the 2000 Millennium edition model. Same features (lanyard hole & nickel pins) with the Buck shield, micarta handles and a leather sheath. Heck, it could even be with their standard steel. I'll buy 2 and send you the money in advance. Every year I'm entertained by the irony in this thread.

For instance; several people ask for the Millennium Trapper to come back. I've seen a couple on the 'bay' go for big money (as slip joints go) and it's merely the "Buck" brand that's driving them up. I've watched the same knife with Camillus' brand sell for <$50 and the "Remington" branded ones sell for not much more. From good users to even a couple NIB examples.

The "Buck should make ________", and it's already being done somewhere else is a lot of fun.

It's not a bad thing though...
"My name is MT Pokt, and I'm a Buck Snob"

So... here's another contribution:
Dear Buck,
Please work with the good folks at XXXX like you have numerous times in the past, and come up with a "Buck" version of their XXX. This is my go-to knife when I'm hiking and camping. I absolutely love it. It's 10.5" long w/ a 3/16" thick slab of 1095 carbon steel and a Scandi grind. I've beat this knife, chopped with it, hacked with it, used it to start fires, and touched up the edge on a field stone.
Make one of these with the "Buck" brand, but change little and I'm a buyer. Perhaps 11"-12" overall with finger grooves and a nice guard/choil.

I intentionally removed any branding as I don't feel it's appropriate in our Buck forum.
