What does everyone else do when "waiting patiently" for a new knife?

Right. I have several orders out there that either have shipped, or are waiting for backordered bits to ship. So, here I sit, reading the forums and thinking about all the goodies that the BBT/Postman should be bringing me any day now. It's driving me NUTS. :p

What do y'all do to keep your minds off the waiting? (anyone ever catch themselves ditting by the front door staring, waiting for the BBT/mailman to arrive?) :D
 
Believe it or not I actually find myself spending lots more time on the forums when I'm waiting for something to arrive.......
 
I like to play with my last new knife.

And look at pictures and video of the one I'm waiting for.

I do this too but I find it gets me thinking of my next order before what I'm waiting for comes in.

I mostly try and keep busy and keep my mind off of it. Lots of work around to do anyway and you can put some of that energy to good use.
 
yeah 2dead. I'm posting between tasks at work, so it's not too bad today. Tomorrow and Sunday though...

Monsieur, I'm right there with ya. I ordered an RC-3 & another Izula (and a Spydie Street Beat,) and while waiting for them, I've ordered an RC-4, RC-3MIL, & a Junglas. I'm eyeballing an RC-6 as I type this, and that got me thinking that I'd be missing an RC-5 in the set...

ARRRGGGHHH!!! :p
 
i dont have alot of patience for waiting so i walk around cuss the mail check the forum and then go outside and cut something up or practice a outdoor skill.

you really need the 6 though its my favorite hiking hunting and outdoor knife. while the junglas is my favorite pack knife. the hest is my favorite everyday carry knife for working on the farm.

Doesn't hurt to track the package and hit f5 ever few minutes in hope to see that the package has moved to another location closer to you.....or it doesn't hurt to stalk the mailman and wait for them patiently at the mailbox...

As others have mentioned, I usually read up more or watch videos on product that is coming in. I'm sure that doesn't really help much..
 
tracking has failed me Krazi. I just discovered that there's no chance of arrival today... :thumbdn: :(
 
I simply go crazy! I am just got my knife last week. Now I am waiting for my gearslinger pack and a folding titanium spork.

if you keep ordering new stuff, you wont have to worry about the "down time" you'll have atleast 1 new package arriving each day, and will have atleast 1 new toy to play with to keep your mind off of the other packages
 
The only thing I'm waiting on is a new job. I actually have a list of knives I want to get once I get employment... starting with a Junglas! :)
 
if I could get past what BBT is I'd be homefree..

In the meantime, like others I look at pics of other knives and want them also.

you have ordered some awesome knives, congrats to you !!!!

My delima is I'm nuts and my wife knows it, I absorb everything dangerous and embrace it. I could/would load up my CC but my wife would kill me with my dangerous objects, so I'm wise enough NOT to order a slew of knives/guns at one time, I take it one-day-at-a-time.. its all about having steps to build foundation into the program..

You're Crazy... And I Envy you..!!!:thumbup::thumbup:
 
Ok, seriously, Kenny, STOP!!! I do NOT need to order an RC-5, RC-6, or H.E.S.T. right now...
