I was just trying to get an idea about how everyone else felt about the Case XX Vault program. One point I really don't quite understand is how putting patterns in the vault will give collectors extra time to find knives that they previously couldn't. It seems to me that Case is simply trying to drive up the prices on their products by limiting the production and thus limiting the availability of some knives. The one positive aspect I can see is that it will allow the preservation of some patterns while other, new patterns are being produced. However, setting an arbitrary length of time that the patterns must be in the vault seems ridiculous and detrimental to new collectors because it limits the availability of new knives in certain patterns that may be desirable to them. Though the values of some collections may rise because they contain certain retired patterns, overall, I do not like this plan. What do you think?
