What does it mean when a package VIA USPS goes through the same sort facility twice?

Don't be fooled people,
Some of these knives have never seen the light of day. They have been stuck in their packages, or even just new born customs, that have never seen any of the continental U.S.
The tracking info. is just a diversion. They are on a tour before they become someones possession. So when they arrive, they
are ready for the commitment.
Least that's what I imagine when waiting for mine.;)

Good news guys. My package arrived today! Thankfully it was only a few days late as opposed to a couple weeks.
 
They also can inspect and open any "suspicious" packages which can cause even more delays. I have had several knives delayed and arrived partially opened. Three day priority becomes 5 day hopefully.
 
My ordeal continues. USPS took my package right by my house and sent it 6 horse away at a sort facility further away. I woke up today and tracking said that a note was left. Since it seemed weird given the time it said it was left and the time they usually deliver the mail I watched for them. The mail man came and didnt attempt to deliver a package so I walked out to see if maybe it was small enough to be left in my box. Sure enough, there was a slip saying that they missed me.... They didn't even try to deliver it and planned on all along leaving the slip in my box. Laziness.
