What does Like New in Box Mean?

Yup. If you've posted it in the EDC thread here on bladeforums you can't list it on the exchange as LNIB. A certain someone in this thread has indeed done that.

New in box is new.Soon as knife is out, handled, checked, flicked,it's used.Simple as that..
New or used, there is nothing beetwen.

To  me it means: Unused, unsharpened, (if applicable never taken apart or adjusted,) and in the original box or tube complete with any and all accessories and paperwork it came with.
"Lightly Used" is still used, and no longer "new" or "like new". At the very least the edge may be slightly duller than when it left the factory.

Others are welcome do disagree, of course.
