What does your forum handle mean?

What I do when I'm not stuck at work (and its not too hot).

I used to race cars and one day someone started to call me "randucci", they said it sounded Italian and would be worth more speed. It just stuck and has been my nickname since.

Mulder drools, Frohike frigging rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should have known that with your handle you would say that. Frohike, leader of the Lone Gunmen.:D

about 70 years ago my father started a chain of gasoline stations here in Idaho. he did well with his marketing concept. he pretty much "skunked" all the competition in these parts. his friends called him a stinker. needing a mascot and having a good scent of humor, he chose a Skunk for his mascot.

So you are the reason I see all those Stinker Station signs on the drive up to Sun Valley from Las Vegas on 93?

Small world.

Hell yeah, Frohike, Langley and Byers are the shiznit! :D Scully is pretty sweet too. :p

I lost track when "the Smoking Man" was the end all...... must have missed a lot since then huh?

I worked as a superintendent for a utility contractor, who primarily laid sewer pipe, for the last 17 years. Sh**ty job but someone has to do it. I have stories that would make Mike Rowe lose his lunch! :barf: We all refered to ourselves as sewer rats.
:D

Cuz I'm the grampa of the sweetest, cutest, most intelligent little girl in the world!

:) ;) :)

Paddling_Man... I recreationally paddled and taught whitewater kayaking for about 12 years. It doesn't really fit anymore since I moved from whitewater mecca (East Tennessee) to the midwest. Used to be 50+ days on the river per year... now more like four or five. :( 'Course, having two small kids put as much of a damper in playtime as the move.

Zyzax has no particular meaning; I made it up, but use it ALWAYS as an online ID, in every online game I play (played most MMO's), and every forum I register on. Individual enough that people tend to remember it, but not so whiz-bang cool that anyone tries to steal it... :)

And my friends always know how to find me in any game I might play.

Well I play in a band and we used to play a song called "Paradigm Shift" One day someone was looking at our set list and asked what a "Paradiggum Shift" was. I thought it was funny and ended up adopting it.

I worked a large chunk of my life as a paramedic. 360 joules is the highest energy shock we would deliver to a cardiac arrest (vfib) patient.

Now, I'm studying electronic engineering. Joules are still very relevant, but the value really isn't. I've been considering a name change. Hmmm...actually the name I'm considering changing to has much more of a story, but I'll save it for another time. :D

This is a great topic.

Mine I chose for several reasons. At the time I was involved with materials engineering of items using alloys heavy in Cobalt, specifically from Deloro Stellite. Later on when I started collecting knives from this stuff I chose the name as my sign. I was collecting Stellite knives before Talonite even existed. Stellite 6k and 6b were both being used for knife making with 6k having more carbon and being Kit Carsons choice. I had him make stuff out of it for me. Later on when I found out INFI had Cobalt in it, it made more sense.

Also the name fits me well as Cobalt is an irritant and hazardous when ground on.

Isn't it odd that you'd explain a name that you gave yourself ...

on a day that your parents named you?
