What DOES your wife carry?

My GF thinks all my knives are crap except CRKs. She sees my Golden Spydies as compromised junk and my Striders as just plain ugly. I've thought and thought about buying her a knife but she would honestly see anything "affordable" as not worthy. But honestly... every time she uses my knives I have to watch her like a hawk. She will gunk up the pivot & not clean it well... I've seen her cut through cardboard right against concrete (trying her best to cut the concrete as well...) It took me HOURS to get the edge back on my Lg Seb. ...and slice through food into porcelain plates. She seems to have zero appreciation for "sharp" or proper care/use of a fine cutting tool... oh well! ...she really does appreciate my enthusiasm for the things though!

Been married long enough that she now carries my left testicle in her purse. Anytime I ask about getting it back she reminds me that there's enough room for the right one as well as my spine ... so I just leave her alone about it.

Thanks,
Jester]

Ah, nice to see another long term married man on the forum!:D

She rides it too.

Right now she carries a Spyderco Tenacious that I got her, and LOVES it, along with a Cold Steel Counter Tac II on occasion. She loves sharp objects nearly as much as I do. Waiting to give her a new blade for her b-day in november.

Mine knows little about knives, yet out of the plethora of knives in my collection, she has taken to my BM 940, she will not leave the house without it, and if I go to use it, she yells "put MY knife down" lol, at least she has good taste. She has absolutely no interest in any other knives, she has found her grail.

My wife carries a blue/purple Spyderco ladybug mated with a photon micro-light on her keychain since almost ten years ago, in her purse she also carries a Victorinox swisscard.

She owns also a Spyderco Centofante but she doesn't carry or use it very often.

Saludos.

My wife carries a Boker subcom all black, for tasks and last ditch defence. She absolutely loves it and feels lost if she ever forgets it.

My wife carries her Vic SAK Edelweiss Classic, it's purple with flowers but it's still a knife. Now she wants a bigger knife for outdoor tasks! I told her chicks with pocket clips are HOT! :D

Shortly after we started dating, I noticed that my [future] wife either had me cut things for her, or wanted to borrow my Silver Knight for opening things.

I took her to the same store where I got my Silver Knight, planning to get one just like it for her.

Sorry. Gerber not making those any more. Too bad, so sad.

However, on the shelf where the Silver Knights used to hang out, there was a shiny new Kershaw Whiskey Gap for about the same price.

Like the Silver Knight, it was made in Japan. The quality was certainly there.

I bought it for her, and it has been in her handbag du jour ever since.

i see where this is going -my wife carries me, my knives, my sons, -various family members at different times
plus she works as ICU nurse so PLEASE be nice she is worth it.

Guys, this thread made my day :D Love reading what everyone's wives are carrying around in the knife department.

Can I chime in, even if I AM a wife? :p I've got a Victorinox Classic in translucent pink on my keychain, a purple Delica and a Leatherman Squirt P4 in my purse and lately took to carrying around a CRKT shrimp in the watch pocket of my jeans. If it would be allowed here I would have my Dragonfly Salt in my pocket at all times. It's the perfect size for me as an EDC blade. But unfortunately German law has a problem with one-hand opening folders that lock. Gotta have them stowed away in a closed bag. I own a couple more knives and kinda got bitten by the collecting bug and look for pink and purple knives just for the fun of it. And because they make this world a more colorful place :) Böker obviously has seen the light and is offering the pink Cruel Girl Roper - which I already own - and in their latest catalogue they have the Subcom 42 in pink. Yay. I had to order this one immediately and I'm totally looking forward to the pink biscuit. Another one for my collection and it's even one that I can actually carry on me because it's non-locking :D
