What does your wife carry?

Can't tell if you're serious or not, but if you are, you might want to consider letting her choose. I've seen it happen time and time again where the husband goes and buys the wife a gun, but she never carries it because she didn't get to pick it, and it doesn't fit her hand and/or has too much recoil. Or, she didn't want a gun to begin with.

Excellent advice, to which I would only add: let her choose after shooting several. My wife liked the look of the Walther PPK/SIG P230 style guns but did not care for the blowback recoil. Her favorite for shooting? Full size 1911. Obviously not a carry option for her. She does in fact very much like the 2.25" Ruger SP101. I thought the S&W M&P 9c would be ideal for her, but she has not yet had any range time with it, so she'll probably decide between that and the Ruger after shooting the Smith.

Anyways.
I Do Not Have A Wife... That's Not Legal Here.
And I Don't Technically Have A Girlfriend.
But I Do Have A Girl That I Love, And We Are Possibly Going To Date.
So I'll Count That.

Anyways, Onto The Knife.
She Carries A Meyerco Maxx-Q That I Let Her Put Filework On And It's The All Black Bowie Blade Version.
She Loves The Damn Thing Lol.
I've Thought About Giving Her Another Knife. But I Don't Think She Would Carry It Because She Loves Her Knife Lol.

Oh, And A Pink Victorinox Classic SD. =]

Good for you BC777:thumbup: Be happy, because living is hard enough on it's own, unless you throw the ole' hag out!:D

Small wenger sak on her keychain
small pink handled kabar/dozier folder in her purse

When we are up north at our acreage she carries a 5in fixed kabar in kraton with the plastic sheath.

I got my wife a Vic Secretary, because it is the only knife they make that has a orange peeler. It is also a midsize SAK, so she is actually carrying it, which I don't know if she would do right now with a larger one.

She has used it a few times at least that I know of, and I hope that having one handy will help her realize how useful they are.

Nothing. But she will hip carry a F.B. when mushroom picking etc. Other than that there is zero interest. Her only knife is a fairly elegant looking long thin double bladed letter opener. She buys shoes\purses, I buy knives. We are past critiquing each others purchases because we both know that most of our buys are just fun toys. I gave a Kershaw to a lady friend a few years ago that expressed an interest in knives. She surprised me, so she was gifted.

Girlfriend, 24 years and counting , shall we say as good as married /wife. I brought her a leatherman squirt s4 in pink approx 3years ago, goes everwhere with her on car /house keyring. Got her through a few LIFE OR DEATH situations, eg BROKEN FINGER NAIL that needed reshaping , That tassel of cotton hanging fron FANCIFUL clothing. ACTUALL IT IS A GREAT PEICE OF KIT, not too clumbersome and above all UK LEGAL. FARON.

I just want to say that even though I talk a lot of smack about my ex, and her fat azz, that I think it is great when your wife is a knife knut, a knife user, or even a knife carrier. I would think it gives your wife a different perspective about knives in general, and could smooth the way for more knives to appear!

So please don't be offended, or horrified that I'm not politically correct in my assesment of my ex-wife's fat azz. I seem to have this thing with a big azz, and it might be my own fat azz causing that!;):D

My wife carries a credit card(s), a cellphone and a grudge.

She can do far more damage with those three than with a knife! :)

I gave my chick friend a small Vic Tinker, which is a gem of a knife. It's on her giant keychain and gets about as much as the euphonium I got her. Oh well. At least I can play that occasionally. :D

she's lost all the knives i've given her :grumpy: i think i'm going to get her in a ccw class and get her a ruger sp-101.

My wife is an NRA instructor and teaches the basic pistol class :) She hates pink knives (found this out after I got her a pink mini-Griptilian). Her current carry knife is a Kershaw G10 S30V Leek.

oh it's been years deciding on a gun for her... she has trouble racking the slide on any of my pistols... cz p-01, cz 75b, glock 21, ruger p90, and kel-tec p3at... after realizing she even had trouble with the p90 with a soft recoil spring, i knew pistols were out of the equation. she will carry them when she feels like she needs to, as she can shoot all of those. the revolvers she can shoot, and is fine with, are s&w j or k (smaller/lighter k frames) and the sp-101 which fits between the two, and of course .38 is a shoe in. next is training her on speedloaders :D she thinks it's neat to flip a cylinder back in on a wheel gun, so i hope that's a good catch for her.

lol, i tried to get my wife a pink mini-griptilian and she said it looked awful, lol. she told me she would carry a blue bedazzled mini grip after mentioning this thread to her :D

Mine carries a sprint Para 2 in S90V. I'm currently trying to persuade her to carry the M390 version. It seems to be "too smooth".

Mine carries a Spyderco Dragonfly plain in VG-10. Loves the light weight, and that thing is an excellent slicer and opener.
