what folder do you use?

Up until recently, I quit carrying a folder. Funny thing, a thread here re sparked my interest in them. I been looking for a good, strong folder with a good blade, but I keep finding issues with each one. Nothing bad about any of them, just some features I'm not keen on.

Then my birthday rolls around, and the Lady gets me a Cold Steel American Lawman.

I've really been liking this knife. I've been EDC'ing it since I got it Tuesday, and I have to say, WOW, tough knife. And is light.

I've since stripped the painted parts, and the contrast makes it look 10 time better.

SO, in a short answer version, CS American Lawman.

It's hard to beat a SAK. I always carry a Victorinox farmer (the alox version) or the harder to find "Camper".

If you like big knives and can find one, the Queen Mountain Man in D2 is the best big folder I've ever used.

Vic Outrider stays in my pocket pretty much all the time. Also got an OHT, but the Outrider sees way more pocket time.

I like that knife Moose. AUS8 is good steel. I came real close to pulling the trigger on one at a show the other day. Had the wallet out and saw a vintage Model 19 Smith on the table. Oh well.

I have two... Both Bucks, both Alphas. 1 is a Alpha Hunter Folder. The other is an Alpha Dorado. Both have custom scales made by Muskrat Man. They are great knives. I only have pics of the Hunter...

Don't want to jack the thread but I didnt know they made the camper in Alox?? Thats my fav SAK

I always carry my Microtech Mini Socom (m/a) 24/7. When I'm out camping/hiking I have my Ratmandu as my big knife in a Specops sheath on my pack, with a standard red Camper in the pouch, the knife I use the most when I'm out is my stripped/patina'd BK11 that hangs around my neck

A Kershaw Blur straight edge at the moment. One of these days I will find another decent folder to put into the EDC rotation.

Very cool. I've been looking at it myself since we talked about the knife.
People like to whip on LT because of his antics/ethics, but the few CS knives I own are good ones.
I've got a CS Master Hunter (Carbon V), Pendleton and Mini-Pendleton Hunters, and a stockman (also Carbon V).
At the spring chop-in, I want to eyeball your American Lawman up close.
I like the design and the overall idea of the Triad lock.

I carry a Case Peanut almost every day.
Sometimes, I ramp up to a Spyderco Caly III.
On rare occasions, I carry a Spyderco Paramilitary.
Near water, I pick from a stable of various Spyderco Salts.

I carry a vic forrester most day....lately I've been considering one of the buck alpha dorados
or maybe a spyderco ambitous

For the last 5 years or so, I carried the RAT 1 folder. It's an import, but tough as nails! But back in November, I picked up the Spyderco Manix 2. Been EDC'ing that one ever since. Lovin' it!!

These are my current larger folders for EDC. Plus a little SAK on the key chain, and a small lockback.

The guys in the traditional forum got me hooked on slippies. My BM Griptilian now just feels big and awkward in my pocket. I've been working mostly with my Case Canoe:

The stock Amazon photo doesn't do it justice. With the CV steel that Case has, mine has a nice patina going for it. I even like the little etching on the blade, whereas that is typically something I would hate. Sometimes when the day is turning to shit I take this little guy out, fiddle around with it, and spend a few minutes in the canoe floating down a river somewhere...

Do you mind showing this? I have a mini-AK47 and want to get a full size one. This and the Lawman are similiar and I'd like to see what a nice shiny one looks like.

I trade a Spyderco or a Kershaw in every once in a while too.
My carry knife for MTB bike rides is a nice and light Sypderco Delica.

Always carry both of these, Leatherman Skeletool CX and Pohl Force Alpha Two
