What folders are the Beckerheads carrying?

I am carrying today, one of the knives that I received for Christmas. A Queen City Grand Daddy Barlow with green jigged bone and a 4" blade.

Beautiful folder! If you want to post more pictures of this I would love to see them! I love Helle knives. The Dokka is on the list for sure.

If you ever want to part with it please let me know. Seriously...

Ha ha, I will keep that in mind. I will post up a couple of pics tomorrow when I get I my computer.

Been carrying my Buck 110 a lot lately, along with a vintage Buck 501 Prince and a Schrade Old Timer stockman. Also a fan of Al Mar and Spyderco.

Forum newb here, and also just received my first Becker (BK2) for Christmas, but I saw this thread and had to chime in even though it is older. I actually have been carrying a Double Lock Trapper from Moore Maker. Basically it is a large trapper style knife, BUT BOTH blades lock! Pretty cool in my opinion! Comes with 1095 HC steel blades, yellow delrin scales, and also includes a holster style leather sheath. Nothing real fancy, but I love it! And let me say, I have never carried large folders on me very much, but when I replaced my Case medium trapper with this dude it took a little while to get used to it. It is a fairly large knife for what it is!

I carry these Bucks, a 482 and a 484, literally every day, whether the fixed is a Becker or not. 85% of the time, I carry the Kabar 1232 shown here for public display. The other 15% of the time, the fixed is a Becker and/or 1219C2 USN/USMC Mk 2 variation for carry around the farm and pastures. The Beckers will vary with what I'm doing. I almost always packing 2 fixed blades around the farm.

But I think you need to edit your sig. ;)

I didn't have a pic yesterday when I first posted but here is one of my new BK2 and my Moore Maker Double Lock Trapper, along with a Case medium trapper for comparison. This is also the first image I am trying to post so if it doesn't work, sorry.

That is a good looking trapper. Is the BK2 sanded down? Something looks different on the finish.

I have just striped the blade so far. I don't think I am going to go through all the hassle of sanding. Just don't really care for a "clean and polished" knife blade. I do have a set of Ipe scales coming from Tommythewho and also a bushcraft style leather sheath from Skystorm. Will probably post a new thread to show those off.

I'll carry any of these. IAW local laws of course. I also have a blur I keep on my gear at work. Also a great knife.

Ah, nope. Still believe that. I carry the folders because sometimes I have to go places that frown on openly carried fixed blades, even though they are legal. I have a boot knife clip on the fixed blade sheath so I can just pop it off the belt as I exit the car. I carry the folders as my back up knives for the fixed. And I ALWAYS have at least 2 knives - 1 on each side.

It's been a while... but I got this today and will be carrying it for quite some time:

Buck Vantage Avid Small. It is 2.4oz and instantly disappears in the pocket. It's what I like in an EDC; the capability without weighing down or filling up my pockets. I find the Vantage smalls are my ideal edc. :)
