What folders do you have ABSOLUTE confidence in?

Story time please! :D

Batoning of adhesive concrete, notching door frames, tile grout joint scraping, batoning of copper tubing, drywall cutting, carpet cutting, light wood chopping, hammering, cutting of steel mesh reinforced rubber tubing, and probably quite a few other thing I'm forgetting. I lost the tip when another guy knocked it off a saw horse and it fell on the concrete though.

It did everything I've asked with a daily resharpening, but I've come to the conclusion that S30V isn't a good steel for abusive cutting. It holds it's initial edge great for medium cutting duties, but gets chippy and buttery on the harder stuff. I still can not even begin to complain with what this blade has been through.

Example given, I cut up some coffee cans awhile back. My Ontario Utilitac II came out ahead of my severely dulled ZT 0350, and my significantly chipped Buck Vantage Force Pro. I'm going to have the blade in my 0350 replaced and a custom set of scales made up for it some day, and it will be put in my go bag. The Utilitac is now my work blade as the steel seems to be less damage prone than any of my S30V blades. Not only that, it's $25 so I can just buy a new one if it does get too beat up. The action may not be tougher than my 0350, but it's damn close and much smoother.

The only knife I have any form of 'absolute confidence' in is a special case. In a pocket folder beauty contest, I am absolutely confident that my Spydie CF Dodo would lose.

There was a time I would have suggested my Buck 110 as a confidence-inspiring example. Then, along came some excellent Benchmades and ZT's. My confidence would be the greatest in the CRK 'StarTac' 'zaan - but still not at the 'absolute' level. That Dodo is absolutely, however, the ugliest knife I own. That's why I own two of them!

If I'm using the knife, I have confidence in all my folders, but lend one out, and all of them have the possibility to be DOOMed.

but my Gale Bradley, Spyderco Southard, SnG z-wear, and ZT350 stand out to be pretty tough!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't used my Microtech SOCOM Delta clip point much, that sucker opens a little in my pocket and cuts the shizz out of me, so maybe low confidence currently, lol
