What folders do you have ABSOLUTE confidence in?

I have absolute confidence in myself to choose and use the right knife or tool for the task at hand. I don't expect a knife to pry open a paint can cover. ;)

That is a jack west stock with ken ruckers bump buster, standard equipment when you buy a remingtion 1100 competition.

The knives in my pocket or I wouldn't be carrying them. Just use the right tool for the job, that's the part that counts.

Coin toss between the Cold Steel Recon 1 and the ZT 0200. Recon obviously has the better lock up but the ZT handle just locks in my hand like nothing else.

If I had to pick one in a survival situation I'd go with the ZT because a linerlock handles dirt mud etc.. better than a triad lock does.

I am quite fond of my Grayman.

I have, admittedly not with the ZT but my Millie handled dirt better than my Recon 1. Rincing it in a puddle solved that quickly but sand and triad locks don't mix man...

The Opinel lock isn't bother by dirt or sand. Get's a bit gritty sounding, but the lock is still as solid as it is with no sand[1].

Did I mention that Opinels cost less than $20?

[1] Meaning, it will prevent the blade from closing with moderate closing forces, but not from stand-on-it/folding-prybar pressures.

Darn Cold Steel for discontinuing the Twistmaster!!! (I know it was due to Camilius imploding).

I have absolute confidence that all of my folding knives will do two things: fold and cut. If I'm concerned about failure, it's time to rethink the tool I'm using...

backpacking, camping, or hunting trips i'll take a fixed blade over a folder every time as my primary knife with a folder as a backup.

I love the toughness of my Emersons, but if I could only choose one knife, it would be a Military.

My crusader forge FIFP EX is pretty tank. 0.2 in thick blade and TI slabs. Only downside is it weighs almost 14 oz :/ image.jpg

Absolute confidence in a lock back like my Buck 110. Less confidence in liner lock or bolster lock styles.

Used to be my point of view until someone pointed out to me that a backlock fail is ALWAYS a 100% fail whereas a liner that fails might still protect your fingers if the liner bends towards the far handle scale.
