What handgun do you carry with your knife?

The last couple of years I have been edc'n a Glock 36.
How do you like that gun? I love my G21 but I've been thinking about something a bit smaller for carry. I've been considering either a G36 or the G30. Does the single-stack mag make the 36 noticably easier to conceal or carry? Unfortunatly, I can't seem to find either of them in stock locally to get a first-hand impression. :o

In one hand or both hands? I dropped a knife once holding it the same hand as my gun.

The knife is almost always a Gerber Freeman S30V folder (which is pushing the limits of legal here), the gun is almost always an older Colt McCormick Commander in .45, though I've been known to shove my little Smith 640 in a pocket if I'm not going to be gone for long. And I've got a little Kahr in .380 that sometimes lives in my ankle holster.

hi, i carry a glock 21sf or a 1911 along with a esee3 or benchmade folder.

I go back and forth between a S&W 442 and a Kahr PM9. Occasionally a Ruger LCP. Each is pocket carried.

Hmm, is that a Curve? I've had my Bold 9700 for about a week now, and am loving it.:)

glock 19 or 26, gerber ez out and sometimes a leatherman or wenger trailblazer.

I like the 36. I have big hands and it wasn't real comfortable when I firsts got it, but I relieved the trigger guard, rounded the front of the trigger guard, radiused and lowered the thumb rest, and slightly reshaped the top section of the back strap. Now it fits me like a glove. I cleaned up the trigger too.
The 36 reminds me a lot of the Colt Combat Commander, which is my favorite 1911. That was one of the biggest reasons I went with the 36 instead of the 30.

For someone with medium or smaller hands, I think the 36 would be a great choice. I have lost count of how many rounds I have put through it, and it has never had a failure to feed or any other malfunction. It has also digested every different brand I have put in it. I have Federal HydroShock 230's in it for edc'n.

It is quite different from the 21. I had a 21 for a few years and carried it IWB in a BladeTech or a Galco holster with the FBI cant. It wasn't a problem for me because I have carried 1911's for years. The 36 is definitely easier to carry IMHO. You don't have to worry about it "printing" as much as you do with the 21..

Ruger SP101 in .357, S&W 637 .38, or a S&W 640 in .357, are my choices if I'm feeling the need to be seriously protected.

A police 3 or Endura ZDP , or a Blur S30V and a Glock 27 .40 cal.

sometimes only a Ti/hammerless .38 sp that weighs around 13oz. It works good in the near tropical summers around here where shorts and a t shirt are almost too much clothes. Of course I always carry a knife, even while swimming down at the pool in my sub division.

Im a wheelgun sort. When out and about Its my Taurus 85 38 Special. You can feed it all kinds of rounds and it always works.

What he said! Mine has the concealed hammer and is the easiest CWC I own. Loaded up with +P, I can put all 5 in a paper plate at 35 ft.-KV

Typical day will see a Sage1 or Caly3 in my right front pocket, Bravo necker or Izula neck carried, and a Kel-tec P3at w/crimson trace laser IWB in kydex from www.aholster.com .

S&W 642 airweight and a Buck/Strider lockblade in cold weather.

NAA mini and a Perrin LaGriffe in the Summer.

I'm too small to conceal anything bigger.
