man I missed a bunch of shifty stuff. I have no idea what thrillbilly and orge did or done.

Clich sent the knife off to another member and when the package got to the other member to work on it was empty.
 
I just caught up on the billy stuff. No one has found him? Theres even a picture of his license plate in one thread (someone had to notice that right?)

Whats in Chicago? School?

I currently live about 4.5 hours from Thrillbilly's "Last Known Location" however I don't have his address so I can't go check on what's going on.

I know he isn't dead, I see him on Xbox Live from time to time. I've sent him numerous messages regarding the stuff. I've even talked to his brothers about it. To no avail. If someone sends me his address next time I'm down that way I'll drop in and see what's going on.
 
So, I spent about 2 hours on my 16 FFG tonight. I'm assuming 2 hours. It was 2 and a half episodes of Walking Dead. I'm trying to get caught up.

I can't shave with this knife, however it cuts like my ex's tongue!

Not sure what is going on that I can't shave with it, but I figure it is something that I'm doing. I'm thinking of making a "strop" for my KME system. Wouldn't be hard and I'd know at least I'm doing that as right as every other step.

Now if I could just remember which grit comes first, Green or Black when stropping.
 
Black then green. I personally prefer white compound, but that's all I ever used so...
 
Well shit, it's 1:15 AM here and I have to wake up at 6:00. There's no way in hell I'm going fall asleep any time soon.

Damn.
 
Good news, it isn't JUST me... I decided to work up the Mini-Cyclone that AIG gave me. Didn't even work it up THAT hard, just the last two stages of the KME and the strop. Was able to shave the hairs off my arm no issues.
 
DJG, kinda in the same boat here.. with the exception I went to bed at 1:30 and woke up an hr. later at 2:30 and now I'm just sitting here.... I have to wake up at 8.... that is if I fall asleep...

Starting to find it harder to sleep myself...I used to not sleep for a couple days at a time for awhile but I eventully managed to correct my sleep pattern but now that it's school holidays here and I have no commitments (ish)...Very annoying not being able to sleep. On the bright side though, if I can't sleep the forums are still somewhat active so theres always some extra browsing.
 
I'm up too...

So far this evening I managed to sharpen (successfully mind you) my -7, -16, 16CP, and Mini-Cyclone.

I am running out of hair on my arm from testing.

I managed to some how slice the fingerprint off my thumb, but no blood... I figure that means the -7 is pretty sharp.

Question for you guys, how do you clean your stones?
 
I haven't had stones in some time, in my opinion its the only way to freehand... I used Japanese water stones and they would sorta self clean when you soak them before your next sharpening..:)

There is a flattening stone you could use from time to time..

that's funny about the hair on your arm, I have a certain spot on my hand/arm I always test with and for some reason it never grows back like the rest, you can always tell where I shaved it..
 
Well if it makes you all feel better I slept like crap last night. Im pretty tired right now.
