First was a SE ATS-55 delica that I got for half price from a friend who worked at EMS.The first thing I did was take the clip off.I thought ii was an odd looking knife,so sharp,so thin and so light.I was happy at the 30 dollars spent but I wondered if at full price would I have bought it.After i carried it some the answer was clear to me.Next was a SE Military,wow was it big.Strated getting a few to rotate in and out and downhill it went.

delica>millie>starmate>endura>police and on and on

Buck Rush -> CRKT M21 -> Spyderco D'Allara -> Spyderco Chinook 3 -> Military -> Strider SMF + Military -> Strider SMF + D2 Millie + Tasman Salt :D

Kershaw Blur (5-6 years). to CRKT Hissatsu (year) to Boker Direkt (2 days) to Spyderco Endura Wave (2 months and counting)

stainless police -> al mar shrike ( long time) -> original mini manix -> g-10 endura -> frn delica 4 -> now i keep a small slipjoint up front and a really thin carbon fiber harpy with no clip with the wallet for just in case. got my eye on that new rookie though.

SAK-CRKT D.O.G- Spyderco SaltI/PE- Native/SE- Military/SE- Delica/SE and now just the SS Cricket/SE(still carry the SAK left back pocket)

I started with a Buck 110 in high school (mid 90s) then a Victorinox Climber and Kershaw Hawk in college. After that I EDC'd a Spyderco Endura for about a year, and then a Native for six or eight months. Since January '06 I've been carrying a Benchmade 710 and don't really plan on changing.

I'll start somewhere in the middle

...Gerber EZ-Out >>> 940 Osborne >>> Caly 3 >>> D2 Para >>> Strider SNG >>> Black on Black Pacific Salt

In terms of Spydercos, its been the following:

Delica 4 >> Dragonfly >> Tenacious >> Sage >> Caly3 >> Endura 4 >> Paramilitary >> Manix >> Lum Chinese Folder

Hoping I'll add a Ti Military or a Leafstorm to the inventory...

Native I (440V) > Chinook I > Civilian > Catcherman (yes odd I know) > Delica II > P'kal > E4 Waved > D4 Waved and finally a CF Military BG-42

The Military has stopped the EDC rotation, lots of other Spydercos in the collection but the BG-42 rules the pocket.

Sometimes for formal functions the Lum Chinese folder comes out but only if there are a lot of sheeple around.

Can't say enough good things about it the CF Military they just got so many things right with it. Maybe the Ti Military will bump it off it's roost but then again maybe not ;)

Mine started with a kershaw pocket knife then Delica ss ps then to my lil temp PE she been in my pocket ever since

PE S30V) Native, (CE VG10) FRN Delica 4, (PE VG10) FRN Waved Endura 4, (PE 8CR13MOV) Tenacious, (PE 8CR13MOV) Byrd Robin, (PE VG10) Caly 3, (PE VG10) FRN Delica 4, (PE S30V) FG UKPK , (PE VG10) 2 FRN Ladybugs, (SE VG10) FRN Ladybug, (PE S30V) Black Military

Kershaw Scallion ->CRKT Roll lock -> CRKT Triumph N.E.C.K -> Spyderco Lava -> Kershaw JYD CB -> Spyderco Dodo -> Spyderco Dragonfly (with one of other mentioned folders, then with all others in the future) ->Kershaw NRG -> Benchmade 556s mini-grip ->Kershaw E.T, kershaw shallot->And most recently a Benchmade 580sbk Barrage.

Buck 110 - mid '70's to mid '80's. (and started carrying a soldier SAK in 1983)

Gerber Folding Sportsman II - mid '80's to early '90's.

Spyderco Police, left hand model, - 1992 to 2003.

Spyderco large Wegner, with BRIEF dalliances with Cold Steel Voyager, CS Ti-Lite, Bladetech Wegner, CRKT M16, (not a bad knife, but I wasn't thrilled with the AUS 4 steel used) Sog Tomcat, Benchmade 940, (nice knife, but axis springs kept breaking on me) - 2003 to 2006.

Back to Spyderco, SS Endura, SS Native, Police, Manix, Armorer's Endura - 2006 to present. (and I still carry my soldier SAK from 1983....)

I might have forgot a few....

Vaguely (production):

Spyderco Delica 3 PE (years, and still with me) >> Boker Trance PE >> Kershaw Skyline PE >> Benchmade Monochrome (short-lived) >> Boker M-Type >> CRK Lrg. Cl. Sebenza - Micarta onlays >> Spyderco Lum Chinese ZDP + Orange G-10 S30V Military.

Still some rotation, but much less - and yes, I MUCH prefer the Military to the Sebenza - mostly better ergos, lighter, and longer, better cutting blade. I still wish the handle were a touch smaller though.

On the custom side...

Been carrying my BUSSTR by STR with the blade forged and ground by Koyote. KICKASS collab - been slowly convexing the Scandi grind on sandpaper/mousepad and it cuts very well although I've still had better success with the flat-ground and reprofiled Spydies, though my Skyline is no slouch (13C26 just dents a bit too easily).

My Spyderco EDC progression, for the last 8 years, goes something like this:

440V Millie - S30V Milliie - Camo S30V Millie - Orange S30V Millie

I think that I notice a trend......... :D

EDC Progression;

CRKT Seahawk, Kershaw Talon, Spyderco Harpy, SS Endura, SS Police, Lum Chinese, Manix (fullsize), and then DKPK, D2 Millie, G10 Endura, D2 Para, Caly3.

This Month's rotation includes...Byrd Crossbill, Caly 3, FG JD Smith, Orange Urban Wharncliffe and D2 Para.

This list does not include Slipjoints from Case, Schrade etc.

crkt m16, native III, osborne 940, salt 1, osborne apparition, camo para. The para is pretty much go to now although I still use the salt a lot, and if iwas going to be around sheeple I would opt for the apparition due to it riding very low in the pocket with a black handle/black clip.
