What has ESEE done for you lately?

How did you guys win?
Over the years, there have been many contests here where the company gives out products to the winners.

How do you adequately portray the experience gained from participating in a contest? I've gained experience putting together and using a fishing kit as part of a psk, building a whole psk with first aid kit, building a survival shelter...

I've received an Izula and stickers when attending one of the campouts.

I've won an Izula II, Junglas and ESEE 5 for 3rd place on the same contest that TonyM won.

I've made some great friends on the campouts.

I acquired a stripped Izula with kydex sheath in trade from Shotgunner11.

I've learned to try not to have too thin of a skin when participating on this forum :D .

sweetness! should i assume you're going to sell some of your scandi now that you know what a real knife should be like? or even better, moose will do you a favor and take those for a trade-in, 3-1 for a becker :D

I won my first ESEE in a shelter building contest a year ago. The next one was from the pumpkin carving contest. And the last one was because I let Jeff use a picture I took of my shelter for a magazine article.

I've entered other skills contests and haven't won.

The skills contests are where it's at. And ESEE does them all the time, just come to the forum often and keep your eyes open.

To the OP,

That is an amazing stock of knives something you should definitely show off.
Keep up the good work and in no time at all you can become an official dealer of ESEE knives:D

What has ESEE done for me lately?

Besides giving me an insatiable thirst for Rowen 1095,

and sucking the life out of my bank account,

and causing me to spend hours reading threads,

and.....

In all seriousness, ESEE has shown me how a great American company can bring a great product to the marketplace,
stand by that product, give back to their customers and have a little fun while doing it all.

While we appreciate the original post and all the follow-ups, it's not so much what we have done for you guys, but what yall have done for ESEE. We would'nt be here without you guys. The prizes and giveaways are more of a way to get people to interact and have fun, and we appreciate all of you for doing that!

What has ESEE done for me lately?

I started working in our local gun shop and brought in my Junglas, ESEE 4 and my orange Izula that I wrapped just to see the interest. Well... The interest was considerable! One guy would not take no for an answer so I had to sell my Izula. (made a few bucks for my time in wrapping then ordered 2 more) but the best thing was that the owner is going to the shot show and is going to make an order for ESEE knives to sell in the shop. (can't wait for the first order)

So maybe it should be like Kennedy's speech. Ask not what ESEE has done for you, but what you have done for ESEE Country.

Oh man lucky you. I wan't an ESEE so freaking bad, even though I have never seen or handled one in person. I think my first is going to be an Eskabar, just because thats the only one I can afford. I don't think its covered by the ESEE warranty, but still it looks great for the price. Any thoughts? good? bad purchase? thanks-josh.

ESEE

Thank you for getting me back into fixed blades! Since it's winter, and I have not been able to get out into the woods fix blades have left my mind, and gone to the back of the drawer. So now that I have a sweet desert tan Izula (that I have rewrapped 6 times since I got it) It's shining right on the side of my edc bag everyday..........................................

Thanks guy's

Congrats to you Tony, you earned that special box of steel.

What has ESEE done for me? Wow, where to begin. I guess first, it would be the gut wrenching pain of prolonged laughter, followed with the jaw dropping astonishment of dumbasses and their "warranty issues", and back that up with a Pink Izula that Mike sent my little girl for Christmas. I was equally floored when Jeff asked me to not attend the April Woodland Course that I had been saving up for, but to come down and help out as a co-instuctor. WOW, that one still gets me.

My current ESEE lineup, in the order of acquistion, are:

AH1 when I went Gold here on the marvelous Bladeforums

OD Izula (That now belongs to my mom, never let family borrow your blades, she just took it)

ESEE 3 OD/Orange

ESEE 4 Black/Grey

ESEE Fire Kit

ESEE 5 Black (I like putting it in a cage with my BK2 and watch them fight, no winners, just one loser, the cage)

Jeff and Mike are 2 awesome guys, that have unique opportunity and perspective on things, that's just very refreshing, they don't want idiots owning thier gear, and they don't mind telling someone to go buy knives somewhere else. My experience goes back to the first RTAK I saw, read about, and the beginning of RAT, the school, not the knife. Seems I read it in a magazine that hit my door, when the RTAK came out, then I got the rundown from a guy behind the counter at SMKW.

Anyway, good call Jeff and Mike, Patricia, Kate, Mike, Tony, Shon & Becky, take a bow, you deserve it, for one of the best shows on Earth.

Moose

PS, Tony, get bent, no deal on the Beckers. Send me the HEST for insulting my honor with that proposal:D

Fourt from the bottom??? Koyote?

Very nice!

RAT (what it was called when this happened to me) motivated me to go from passive collector back to dealer. I stumbled upon the RAT site and after reading about the passion of the company to produce a superb knife, the real life adventures of the owners, the complete love of the company by the customers, made me reinstate my account, after a 14 year hiatus, with a major knife distributor, create my site invest in inventory and participate in this World of ESEE as much as possible.

Since March 2010, my life has changed exponentially. I'm happier, more contented, and feel whole and at peace. This is no B.S. ESEE has given me a singular focus of my energies and is my safe haven. With that base, the rest of my life has followed suit.

That is what ESEE has done for me. Thank you.

ESEE produced the AH1 arrowhead. A fine bit of kit and one of my all time favorites. Besides producing great blades in 1095 steel, that's what ESEE has done for me lately.
