What has ESEE done for you lately?

Tony! You lucky SOB! Nice score brother.

Mr & Mrs S have gifted me with a few things, I won my first Pack knife from Dale @ TKC and Jeff was gracious enough to send me enough of each card sets for my scouts.

Other than that, good honest folks that I hope to get to meet sometime.

ESEE has helped me complete two goals on my "Before I'm 30" bucket list. Ya see, I've been around this earth for a mere 29 years, and even though I spent a majority of those years on a farm, using tools, getting outdoors, shooting guns, and just generally being a stupid adolescent male, I had never done two things:
1: go to the emergency room
2: get stitches
Lucky for me, after a recent rekindling of my wanting to get outdoors and truly "rough it" I began learning true bushcraft. All these years of camping previous to now was what I'd consider car camping. Drive to your destination, regardless of how "remote" walk a few feet, throw some diesel fuel on some logs, and have fire. I want more now.

The 6 I ordered from Dale at TKC saw some batoning work on a couple occasions. 10 days ago (I remember because I was told to take my stitches out at the 10 day mark, and that was today) I was out with my brother and a mutual friend putting our knives through their paces. I was presenting my 6 into a rather tough piece of oak and the 6 got a craving for blood. So much so that it splintered out of the log, decided the leather work glove wasn't enough, and bit my right index finger down to the bone just above my knuckle at the back of my hand. Luckily, my first aid kit was in the Kelty I brought with, so we dressed the wound, but the 6 won the day and I saw my first trip to the ER in my 29 short years and a mere 3 stitches.

Needless to say, I'm incredibly impressed with the fit, finish, and edge-holding capabilities of my 6, and now I know that should I get rushed by any dangerous animal on either two or four feet, I can cut the crap out of it with minimal calorie expenditure.

Funny thing, as soon as I got released from the ER, I went right back out there to the camp site, finished fire prep, and fixed a great late lunch of baked beans, corn, and some squirrel we shot earlier that day.

Thanks ESEE!
