I'm fairly new to knives and used to wonder how anyone could spend $200+ on a knife. After looking at the Busse for sale thread I can see why. I haven't sold any of my firearms yet, but I've got several guns that have been sitting around for years. So do I sell a firearm for a few knives or just not shoot every other week for a month or two and use that money to buy the knife? I've chose not to shoot as much and use the ammo money for my growing knife addiction My wife went from how many guns do you need to how many knives do you need. I tell her it's still cheaper than cars, at least for now
I've yet to sell anything but my no-longer-carried knives to fund new knife purchases. Most often when there's a pricey knife I really want, I just make a concerted effort not to spend money on non-essentials for a month or two, rather than selling anything off.
