What I like in the 2015 Catalog

It's not a Spyderco, but Emerson's CQC-8 has a very similar profile to the Echanis/Taylor/Wanner Warrior. Sorry if this was known already, it was news to me but quite obvious after holding both in the hand ;)[/QUOTE]

I agree with you. I have the CQC 8 and it does look like a folding Warrior. Still ,I'd like to see Spyderco make their own version.

I'll be picking up a waved Matriarch 2 with coated blade. Riding IWB in Central America, even the VG-10 gets some rust speckles around the pivot. Still holding out for an H1 waved Matriarch 2!

The purple Dragonfly is cool but I think I would get an orange one next. I like most of the flippers but they are right-handed clip only.

The Ronin 2 is finally coming, but what really caught my eye was the Reverse. A very interesting concept, although I'm not really sure how it works.

The Szabohawk is also a welcome sight. More Laci is always a good thing.

There wasn't really anything in particular that caught my eye; however, I'm eager to see what some of the future sprint runs are in the Military and PM2.

I can get behind this. I really, REALLY want to buy a Military, however, I want upgraded steel and different color handles than the digi-cam on my PM2. I don't do black handles either.

I think though, as these newer models are released, my interest will likely grow.

That orange handled Dragonfly 2 caught my eye.

The Yojimbo 2 is on my wishlish, even as I type this. :)

The ClipItTools are cool. I have already ordered a pair for Christmas stocking stuffing.

But, my one must have knife for next year is the blue stepped ti Chaparral. OMG, that thing is GORGEOUS!

I've held off buying the last couple PM2 and Military sprints. I thought about buying the 204P sprint and selling my S30V camo, but I don't really use the knives hard enough to appreciate the differences in the steels so I refrained. Plus, I think Spyderco does a really good job with their S30V and neither do I mind touching up my edges as I enjoy sharpening.

I have a recent lengthy thread about how I was first turned off to the Military and now love it, and it's in my pocket today. The thwack that that liner lock makes is a sound I can't get enough of. Wasn't a fan of the black handles so got the digicam but with a DLC coated blade to be different than my PM2, but I really really love Spyderco's satin blades and will actually jump on the next Millie sprint if it's an appealing combo of scale color choice and intriguing steel that'd just be cool to have. In short, don't discount the plain Jane Military! ;)

Foundry actually looks pretty good, but would prefer Ti to stainless obviously. The Szabo axe is kind of cool, but even so, I think I would just go for an RMJ tomahawk over the Spyderco, Benchmade, and other quality production tactical axes.

Love the Ronin 2 and the Reverse. Would have been nice to see the Warrior and Pygmy Warrior in better steels. More sprint runs in better steels for a lot of knives would be great.

Stretch G10 - although I wish it wasn't brown. Spyderco seems to have a love affair with that ugly brown color (Southard, Nikkala). I can always dye the scales or get new ones I guess.
Pingo Ti - depends on the price.
PITS - Very cool design, and I really like Bohler n690.
Roadie - Not sure why... I just think it is cool little knife. Price will be a big factor on whether I get this one or not.

The Firefly, Foundry and Friction Folder are big maybes. I will just have to wait and see how the reviews are when they come out.

I would get one, but I don't want it to be too similar to my PM2 - which is also digi/satin. I'm not into black handles or blades, so that leaves me in an interesting position, lol. I know they make aftermarket scales for the Military, however, I'm not looking to spend extra money to mod it. Who know's what I'll end up doing. I have a pre-order placed for a Cruwear Manix 2, but that could take 6 months for all I know. Haha, life is tough.

Don't forget the titanium Military. It's more than piqued my interest a little.

I'm considering a Techno and a Sage 2 for the upcoming year. Nothing from the new releases though.

I was considering a Yojimbo because I really dig that thick wharncliffe, but the whole "self/personal defense" aspect behind the design of the knife is a deal breaker.
