What I like in the 2015 Catalog

Don't forget the titanium Military. It's more than piqued my interest a little.

Honestly, I'd much rather have G10 scales. As far as the fluted ti version, I'd rather have the liner-lock.
I like what I like, haha.

The Ronin 2 is finally coming, but what really caught my eye was the Reverse. A very interesting concept, although I'm not really sure how it works.

The Szabohawk is also a welcome sight. More Laci is always a good thing.

I agree that more Laci is a good thing but there are a lot of very innovative hawks out there right now and I don't find the Szabohawk to be particularly outstanding. What will be outstanding however ,I'm sure, will be the price. I'm not prepared to spend three or four hundred dollars for a hawk. I would have preferred another knife design in the price range of the Szabo folder which in my view was expensive enough.

What do you folks think of the Damascus Ti Endura? I am trying to make up my mind.

I'm sure we will see more Szabo folders. A prototype is in process now, but who knows when (or if) it will ever surface.

One thing about Szabo designs, you can never judge them based on pictures alone. The price is of course another matter, but those "in the know" will appreciate the cost-to-benefit ratio more than average citizens who will never put it through its intended uses.

Do you have any details you can share on the new Szabo?

Of the new ones that have not already been released I will definitely be getting Assist Salt and Chaparral Blue Stepped Titanium.

I'm curious about the Foundry but using SS in the handle for a 3.3" blade and SS frame lock makes it a tad heavy at 5.4 ounces.

I'm sure, like last year, there will be more new releases during the March 2015 Amsterdam Meet.

I find the Damascus/titanium Endura very interesting, and I am also very interested in Spyderco's venture into large folders with the Tatanka.

Also like the G10 Manbug and and fluted titanium military.

I have a Damascus Ti Delica that I enjoy. I have found that the Damascus that Spyderco uses is, well, less subtle that I prefer. I also have an Endura in Damascus with the jigged bone scales. Very pretty knife! The Damascus sharpens well.

Laci said he is getting a prototype soon. I know what design it is but would rather not be "the leak." I am guessing he will try it out and send feedback, which might lead to more prototypes or a final prototype for public eyes. Who knows, maybe we'll see it at the Amsterdam Meet, but I would imagine things move slower than that.

Fair enough. Thanks for sharing what you are able, I'll look forward to the next folding knife from Mr. Szabo!

Hmm, Schempp Bowie, black PPT, love the sheath on the Temp2, Roc, and Chubby I guess... Also Stretch and Caly 3.5 in ZDP would be nice. So many knives!

I'll be picking up a waved Matriarch 2 with coated blade. Riding IWB in Central America, even the VG-10 gets some rust speckles around the pivot. Still holding out for an H1 waved Matriarch 2!

The purple Dragonfly is cool but I think I would get an orange one next. I like most of the flippers but they are right-handed clip only.

Couldn't agree more, the only thing that could make the Matriarch design better is a version in H1. That would be excellent

Will be buying the Lil Lionspy for sure, followed by the Black PPT since I missed out on the last run of them, and finally the Autonomy since I missed out on all the previous autos that spyderco made!
