What I want: Back Lock Millie

My K390 Mule isn't forming a patina at all, just a faint cloudy dullness on the steel.

Like K390 a lot though. Gonna try to spring for a Police 4 too, if I can.

wrong blade shape. not pointy enough, but yeah close if one doesnt care about the blade shape being identical. guess one could ground down the hump and make it closer to a military blade shape. still rather have my lc200n salt version military with back lock though.

Tip up isn't a Military. Compression lock isn't a Military. Lock back isn't a Military. Three and a half inch blade isn't a Military. However these threads always pop up when there are really close models, already out, that OP is looking for.
There are several pages in the Native 5 perfection thread asking for a wire clip. When there are several variations of the Sage with a wire clip.

Anyways no hate here. Just indifference. A little bit of stand my ground feels....
 
I'm not really into backlocks, and I really like my Millie the way it is. But hey I hope you get a sprint the way you want [emoji106]

No no, no animosity at all, I'm just pointing out what you guys were actually responding to. If you read the rest of the op, he even says he wants everything but the lock to stay the same. Obviously you are welcome to stand your ground. I even agree with most of the points in your last post but none of them are relevant to your earlier position.


p.s. I have a cruwear Millie drilled for tip up carry. I really like it and I assure you it's still a military. 🙂

I left that out. I'm all for modding and making a knife yours. I hate multiposition clip holes. I like custom scales to get rid of the unnecessary holes.
Asking for radical changes to a model when you can mod is a little much.

Agreed. As an example, I don't care for the way they fattened the tip on the delica 4 and endura 4 but I understand why they did it and see no reason to request that they change it. Lots of folks like the fatter stronger tip and for those of us that don't it's a simple matter to flatten the spine.

Regarding the original request, I agree with others that the new Police 4 is probably as close as we will get and I'm happy to have it as an option.
 
Took the Endura as far as I could toward a Military'esque back lock folder... but it badly needs a Lynch deep carry Ti clip to hit that sweet spot...!

Boomer, nice work as usual.

I know there is a market for a back lock Military. Call it the Defense Force if calling it Military is troubling. But this is a knife that would be desired and used by many. I do not even need fancy steel. S30V or S35VN would be fine by me.
 
I'd like have a back lock Millie. I'm quite sure it's never going to happen tho....the design changes to have a different

lock would be much too expensive.
 
Yes, but if enough people get behind this idea then it will probably happen. We just need enough people to ask for it.

As for the P4, I will definitely be getting one. I have been putting off buying other knives I would like to have so I can pay for that one. However, it is not a Military.
 
I wouldn't change a single thing on the Military as IMO it is great the way it is. Develope a new knife with certain Military attributes, fine, but the Military ain't broke so don't fix it.

no one says it's broke. i just want a limited edition/sprint version with a back lock lc200n steel, basically a salt version. have plenty of militaries and love them like everyone else here. just want a backlock version special edition/sprint.
 
I could be wrong... Other than Sage, I am not aware of any other models which have changed lock type during special edition/sprint release. I don't see that changing now.
