What I want: Back Lock Millie

I wouldn't change a single thing on the Military as IMO it is great the way it is. Develope a new knife with certain Military attributes, fine, but the Military ain't broke so don't fix it.

Agreed. I am very certain Sal agrees also. The Military hasn't changed since it's inception. For good reason. I think the Military 2 is only coming because millennials in the marketing department have finally worn down Sal and the old timers at Spyderco.

Decisions, decisions... I love the Millie the way it is (have 16 of them), but I'd also buy a yellow FRN back-lock Salt Millie any day of the week

The Endura is a fine knife but putting a Military style handle on it will not make it a Military so why keep bringing this up? Besides superior ergos, the Military has that wonderfully useful blade design. It can peel an apple, open an envelope, slice up carpet, skin a deer, and more, all with equal aplomb. The only weak point in the whole design is the lock. While a liner lock does make it easier to clean (only a little) a back lock is much stronger, better for either hand use, more intuitive, and better for hard use. Notice that even the Salt series knives all have this type of lock. Even Sal admits the back lock is stronger.

As for a yellow LC200N Military with a back lock, I would be happy enough with that. Orange would be better for me, though. But basic black in S35VN is good, too, as long as it is a back lock.

^ The backlock also has a bias towards closing which in my opinion is often overlooked and a big advantage over the ball detention locks like the liner lock.
