What Inexpensive (Cheap) knife do you really like?

I was wondering what inexpensive knife or multi-tool you have that you use more than you really notice. I have a "Appalachian Trail" small multi-tool. They are like $9.00 in a set Large and small at "Lowe's". It dawned on me the other day while doing some repairs around the house I use the small one for everything. I have several "Leatherman" tools and some SAK's that have many functions and tools, but for over a year I have been using this little MT for a boatload of chores with no issues. I always grabbed it thinking "I'll use it in case it gets messed up" It never does....

I use my Opinel No. 8 Carbon, my Mora 780, and my Cold Steel Bushman/Pocket Bushman all the time. They all work great!

I keep a cadet on my keychain. It's a pretty basic sak, but I use it all the time.

That's pretty cool, I don't often use the Leatherman, except when fishing, I guess I've gotten so used to my SAK that it pretty much covers what I need to do, but at under $20.00 it falls into the inexpensive catagory, I like the Opinels too.

Vic Cadet, I didn't buy it(was from a knife give away), I always use the blade for food prep and when around sheeple, and the nail file is great for cleaning out my nails(I don't feel comfortable cleaning my nails with a hair popping edge!).

I would consider the spyderco tenacious a cheap knife and I love it. It replaces some of my more expensive spydercos as my EDC.

My Rough rider something.
I broke the tip of yesterday while prying, so now it has a screwdriver as well!

Since I'm still a noob, I love my Gerber Firestorm (the Operation Iraqi Freedom one). Best $20 I have ever spent.

I really like my Glock 78. Whenever I need a volunteer for a real stupid idea which of course includes knife abuse, the Glock happily screams Me, me, me!!

Here's another I never think of. I have a Marbles Sunfish I keep in my truck and I always use it for this or that when out and about. I got it in the mail, looked at it and it has never left the truck except to be used. It's built like a tank and has a decent edge. My friends will get in the truck pick it up and they think it's a high dollar knife. $19.00 with free shipping is what I gave for it...

The Boker-plus CLB Trance and the Boker-plus CLB M-Type.

Both are just incredible knives for the money (even though they are made in Taiwan and China :().

The M-Type....

Hi,

I've got a low taste for cheap knives.:D So, I've got a little Rough Rider Mini-Canoe that gets a lot of pocket time. Sadly, more than the two Case Butterbeans I own. Love my Opinel #8. And when I want something more modern with a pocket clip, a Kershaw Vapor.

I guess the reason I started the post is to point out that sometimes (Cheap) does not always mean ~junk~. I think there have times when I have dismissed a knife that appealed to me because the price was inexpensive. Convincing myself that it would be a crappy piece. I have of late been ridding myself of this knife Snobbery!!! In today's economy we shouldn't be too stuck up now should we??? ;)

Seems as though a lot of the traditional knives tend to be on the cheaper side too. Perhaps it's cause they're really used and worked with.

-Opinel knives. With a design that dates back over a hundred years, what's not to love?
-Douk-Douks. They take a razor sharp edge and have Fred Perrin praising them.
-Mercator K55K. For $20, it's quite a lot of knife for a locking folder.
-Okapis. They're on the softer side, but you sure do get a lot for the money. Plus, they have a locking mechanism if that's your thing.
-Rough Rider slipjoints. Although Chinese-made, they're great slipjoints and a steal for the price they're sold at.

As for a less traditional folder, the Ka-Bar Folding Dozier goes for about $20 for three inches of AUS-8A steel. I find myself playing with this knife whenever I'm bored. One-handed opening is always fun to fiddle with.

Higonokami knives, got bunch of them and I like them
Also got CS pocket bushman and I have to say that I really love it! It got some good weight and size in it, slick and clean design and the talk about difficult closing was rubbish.
