What is CONUS?

Sometimes it means Continental United States, the United States except for Hawaii, but more usually it means Contiguous United States, the United States except for Hawaii and Alaska.

What really gets difficult is trying to figure out why some people don't want to sell to Hawaii and Alaska. Do they think postage costs more??? Do they think Hawaii and Alaska are foreign countries and impose taxes on imports from the United States??? Do they think if they sell weapons to those states they might use them to invade the Contiguous United States??? It's a mystery....

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

I always thought that for the longest. Kershawguy asked me why I didn't offer
HI and AK in my ForSale threads and I mentioned what you stated.
I didn't know. Now I do.

Exactly!

Most folks mean that they don't want to ship out of the US. Fortunately the US Postal service bears no distinction in fees for Priority or First Class mail to HI or AK. CONUS is the same as US.

That said, if one is shipping via FedEx, or UPS, there are increased costs. But only through these private carriers.
