What Is Currently The Best Buy Out Of Folders

This is not for any one specific knife, but I have found lots of deals at flea markets. If a used knife doesn't bother you, I would look either on here, or at fleamarkets. eBay is a little too dicey.

Like anything else it depends on your price range/budget.
Buck 110 from Wal-Mart
Buck 110 from Cabelas
Spyderco, Native, Endura, Delica.
Benchmade Griptilian
Kershaw's
The next step up would the Spyderco CF Mili
and the ZT-300,s.

I'll agree with the ones that keep popping up: Native, Buck 110, Endura/Delica, Kershaw Onions, Ka-Bar Dozier folders, Byrd G-10 or stainless handles, Tenacious, All for the Under $50 crowd.

If you step up, then Kershaw starts taking over. Fancy leeks, sprint-run Titanium folders, ZT line, almost anything they make.

Yes, Benchmade still has their hand in it (710, 42, 94X), as well as Spyderco (Military, Chinook, ATR), but Kershaw is quickly becoming my favorite with the Junkyard Dog II in SG2, Tyrade, Composite bladed anything, ZDP-Leek, mini-Cyclone, etc.

100 years ago it was Victorinox.
Today it is Victorinox.
In 100 years it will be Victorinox.

You can't beat a Victorinox, you just cant.

I just picked up a new red alox farmer for 14.50 on ebay. I can't imagine more knife for the dollar, I really can't. I also think delicas are a steal. Then again, I also talked myself into thinking my new ZDP Lum Chinese folder is a good value too.

I just don't see the value in the ZT 0300 series versus the 0200, you pay twice as much but you sure don't get much more knife for the money. I assume a large part of the delta goes to Strider for the name.

If you are looking for the most bang for your Buck, the Buck 110 at Wallyworld is it. $27 out the door, and it can do everything. It is a bit big for EDC though. I keep one in the car, not in my pocket or on my belt. The Spyderco and Kershaw lines are both good. You can get a very good folder for under $50 from them. Sometimes much less if you do well online. For a fixed blade knife, Mora of Sweden is almost impossible to beat. You can get a really good knife for around $15 with shipping online. And they hold up really, really well. Some of the more modest Swiss Army Knives are also good values. Assuming, of course, that you don't go all-out and buy the one with the laser pen, mountain climbing gear, and particle accelerator all in one. And finally, for your basic, run-of-the-mill pocket knife, Rough Ryder and Camco, both from China, are great. You can normally pick up a knife from them that is comparable to a Case, or an old Schrade. While they lack the "cool" factor of the latter brands, they can be had for under $10, and work just as well for everyday tasks. The fit and finish is a bit lower, but you have to really look to see the difference.

I just picked up a Spyderco Tenacious for 32$ and it is a heck of a knife so far, after a few strops with black and green BRKT compound it whittles hair!!

1.Victorinox Classic
2.Victorinox Tinker, Spartan, Soldier
3.BUCK Trio/Cadet
4.Victorinox One-hand Trekker
5.BUCK 110/Gerber Gator
6.Spyderco Delica/Endura
7.Benchmade Griptilian/Mini-griptilian
8.Spyderco Dragonfly
9.BUCK Bantam
10.Cold Steel Voyager (esp medium clip-point)

No particular ranking system here, all of these knives are excellent in their particular category/price range, the Benchmade is easily the most expensive and they can be had for $60 or less. Many are under $30.

Oh, if you can get it, it seems that ZT has an automatic, and looking at the feature list (3.75" drop point 154cm blade, g10 handles, 150 from NGK) I may have to convince my cousin (active law enforcement of course, I would never condone breaking of the law D:) that she needs one.

that or I can move back to florida. hmm, are autos worth getting hit by hurricanes? Im going to have to think that one over =/

Spyderco Endura 4 or the Chinook 3.
Can't really get more knife for the money with either one.
