Maybe it's not so odd but I like to play with my knives when I watch TV. Not that I'm afraid of the TV mind you - but relaxing in front of the box is a good time to bring out 5-10-15 favorites and fondle them. Sometimes I will do the same when I read. A good book, a pipe of tobacco, a single malt and a few blades around, sitting in the favorite chair, that's ok.
I usually only play with my knives when alone. Seeing me watching TV, sitting in the sofa along with maybe 5 bowies makes my girlfriend feel sorta unwelcome, strangely enough

Some time ago there was a thread about "knifesturbating"...playing with your knife while engaged in other activities. I have to admit that I knifesturbate in the bathroom stall 
! Thats right, some people read magazines but I play with my shank! I mark my territory wherever I go...hairs on the toilet seat and shredded magazines. Clean shaven...I'm a beautiful butterfly!

My first Post and OH My GOD! The scary part is I know what you're sayin. I've been making knives for several years and a few have been very special. I have a drawer full of special knives but the "one"
that you prize is the one "they" want. I resist and say it's my personal knife then they start pushing. I tell myself I can make another one. I feel like I've sold my child. My wife of 23 years assures me "You can't keep them all!" Why Not?
