What is the best cheapest knife you wouldn't be afraid to EDC?

I guess mine would be the Opinel 8.. BUT.. I got a few for FREE and there aint no cheaper that that:D!!! John:thumbup:

Over the years I've carried several of those tiny little SAKs, Gerbers and Bucks. Not cheap but not expensive either and very handy little folders. And while I don't carry one, I've had several low-priced Chinese-made brands that had excellent quality far beyond the selling price.

Honestly I have a Enlan el02 that was like 14 bucks that I have beat on for 4/5 years and its still as solid as day one. I had to pry open a door after a car accident and it handled it no problem. Its a little heavy but I dont mind.

I've got a Bad Blood Dreadnought folder that I would not be afraid to EDC.

Ka-bar Dozier mini folding hunter. One of my favorite folders ever, price not withstanding. Around the house, my bladeplay firecracker mini OTF I got for $15 a while back. Has never failed me, and is decent 440 ss. For hard use, apocalypse type use. My cold steel mini lawman I got for $34 bucks is very hard to beat, believe me, I have tried...

Traditional inexpensive knives would be the Rough Rider, Colt, Marbles, Taylor-Schrade, and Buck.

My normal EDC is a Buck 110 or Old Timer 7OT, with a Buck 301 or 371 stockman, Buck 389 or Colt canoe, and a Marbles Army Utility/camp knife.
This week, I've swapped a Buck 877 Maveric (white handle, made in USA) for the lockback.

As far as an inexpensive knife I love my Kershaw Nura I picked up for $23. Great option for something that feels like a higher end piece.

I adore Byrd G-10 lockbacks, the Robin and Cara Cara especially.

The FRN Cara Cara 2 is great as well.

Otherwise I frequently rock a Victorinox Economy Climber, the nylon scales are outstanding and so is the rest of it.

My Opinel #7, not only am i not afraid to carry and use it, i think its a pretty darn good knife. Carrying and using an Opinel makes me feel slightly more enligntened. LOL

Moras are great knives that happen to be very affordable. I have yet to have a negative experiance with a Mora and i have payed a lot more for a knife that would not perform nearly as well.

Victorinox saks are worth the money and the more basic models are pretty affordable.

Cheapest knife I ever carry is a CRKT M16. The knife is rock solid and can be had for less than $50. I know that's a lot more than all the other knives I've seen here... but I have seen many, many failures in a lot of the knives that are listed here. Please don't hate me.

Nothing wrong with basing your choices off of your experience and uses. Besides if we all carried the same thing, the forum would be a quiet place.

The cheapest in my collection, this is my beater knife, won't care if i break it. Keep it in my back pocket every single day!
