Unquestionably, the $45 BK14
Its a pocket survival knife.
It will out last you and will be an heirloom piece.
For now, just slip it in your pocket, use the included paracord to make loops through the sheath's holes to wear it horizontally / cross-draw (or scout carry) or you could even wear it as a neck knife (but I don't think it's ideal and a bit heavy for that, daily)
You can add Zytel scales for like $13 and it's a much better grip
Later you can get a leather pocket sheath and throw either an ALOX SAK in the other pocket, or a smaller flashlight (Olight i3t or i5t)
I put a simple, 20° convex edge on it with a worksharp belt sharpener and then keep it lazer sharp with simple stripping.
Great handle geometry provides so many grips available to use with it
Amazingly versatile blade shape and as a pocket survival knife that could save your life one day, being so useful from a utilitarian standpoint is an amazing bonus
AND... It's an Esee, Becker and KA-BAR... All in one... LITERALLY!
Turn subtitles on and watch this.... No other knife would survive this torture test:
With a pocket sheath, I can easily carry this combo in shorts, jeans, khakis, even suits!
They say for survival, the best knife is the one you have on you...
But... With the BK-14, the best knife for survival, is a survival knife that you always have on you!!!
