What IS the best Fixed blade?

Maybe, I guess the thread you started asking "what is your all in one survival tool" led me to think this thread asking what the "best" fixed blade is could also be about survival...

The shortest one which can easily kill & butcher a wild pig, chop through half inch branches, slice tomatoes & bread.

Being able to function in a variety of situations from bushcraft to kitchen work is one quality that makes a good knife. I'm upping the ante here, no one has thought of knife "Kits" yet like the KaBar adventure series that comes with the little neck knife or the gerber giant Box that comes with their Myth line of knives and other tools

Nope, being specialized for function is the what makes a knife excellent at it's designed task.
 
"Bushcraft" knives and other fantasy knives are complete shit for kitchen use.

Yea, I've seen that they can do it, but man they suck at it. Any thinner knife will outperform a newage steel fancy handle combo. Any.
