We've had some fun with some of the polls lately, so I thought it might be useful to ask one of the most common questions around here in poll form: 'What is the Best Production Folder?" I picked what I thought might be the 20 most popular choices. Forgive me if I left out your favorite. Feel free to write it in...

There is no best, really. Each one fulfills a different need or want out of a knife, at least for me, but there are favorites.

Some are Benchmade, Spyderco, Busse, Microtech, Kershaw.

Phew!!!
So honestly, is there anything else which tops everthing that has not been already listed??!...

For the last two years Kershaw has impressed me the most with their custom maker collaborations for production knives.

There is no valid answer to the question.

I voted for the Paramilitary, although now that I think of it I probably should have put other for the Benchmade 42.

I chose 'not listed' as my favorite production is a Hinderer gen 3 3.5" XM-18 w/ flipper.

its everything I look for in a knife and more.
-ergonomics
-fit & finish
-appeal
-manufactuer support
-premium performance steel
-robustness

I voted for the Tyrade, but in truth I'd have to say a three-way tie: Kershaw Tyrade, Spyderco Military (I have the BG42 / carbon fiber), and Benchmade Ruckus (the fine-edge, full-size Ruckus).

I carry them in about equal proportion too, always in the left pocket. Right pocket 90% of the time is an Emerson Karambit folder, 10% a Spyderco Civilian. But neither of those is an all-around knife like the above.

Favorite not listed.

Benchmade full size Rukus. mini Rukus gets runner-up status.
Contoured handles, perfect blade shape and AXIS lock.

Spyderco S90V Manix 2. Hands down.

I really love that knife myself, but the BM 710 is a strong contender, the SnG is awesome.

If you're looking at a tank cutter get an SnG, if you're looking for something tacticool, sleek, fast, and pointy the 710 is a slicer. The S90V manix slices dices and feels amazing in the hand.

3 knives that I love all for their own reasons.

I can't say one is the best, but I'd probably take the Manix over the others.

I have to say that for production folders, fit and finish on Victorinox Swiss Army Knives are second to none. They may not be my favorite, but to manufacture so many different tools and to offer them on the cheap is simply amazing.

I'll vote for the Spyderco Stretch 2 carbon fibre zdp 189

It's the best pure slicer, high performance, ergonomic folder made.

There are some really great ones listed.I've handled, owned or own most all of them.It was a tough choice, but I had to go with the Sebenza.(large),The ZDP/CF Stretch II would be my second favorite.
