There is no valid answer to the question.

Yea, I tend to agree. What I like will change as my needs and wants do. When someone asks me "What is the best (something) you've ever had?". My reply is usually "Don't really know, haven't found it yet". And the best up to this point is usually a combination of descriptions. I am very happy with what I have, I just always hope and strive to find something better.

I had to vote for my favorite, although I know the Sebenza is better, it's just not affordable to everyone. I voted Tyrade.

Favorite not listed.

Benchmade full size Rukus. mini Rukus gets runner-up status.
Contoured handles, perfect blade shape and AXIS lock.

My feelings exactly.

I think this thread should have been named What is your Favorite Production Folder. Because using the term "best" is kinda foolish...

Yes. You are right. I wrote "best" when thinking favorite, but the two terms aren't that far apart. Forumites frequently start a thread asking about the "best" folder and respondents cite their "favorites."

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that a poll can be edited once started. Even if we started a new one, however, I think the results would be largely the same, except I would include a few of the folders mentioned that I left out, most notably the Manix 2.

:thumbup:You have to give some credit to Buck & Victorinox for lasting the test of time.

I think the Seb won this one.

I voted Buck 110, for the price you can get them at its unbeatable.

If cost is no matter then the Reeve Sebenza.

My 'best' folder overall is the Spyderco E4. It just tends to be the best, for me at aleast, in most all situations.

Sebbie hands down. Though if it wasn't up there I would have voted for the Buck/Mayo TNT as it is a spectacular knife.

Actually one way to measure best is to let the market decide and tally up the biggest sellers. The market tends to place a high weighting on value and so did I when I cast my vote (Mini-Grip). I have nicer knives than the grip, but better is subjective.

Tallying up total over all sales the biggest sellers are the Buck 110, Mini-Grip, and Delica. The public has already decided!
